I just got my wisdom teeth taken out. Does anybody want one of them? I am going to put up an auction on eBay if the demand is great enough...

You should really mention this in the bizarre forum, there are a lot of effects in this style that require a tooth or bone or similar for atmosphere.

Actually, I don't even have the teeth. The doctor wouldn't let me keep them.
I was really just in a lot of pain and wanted some sympathy...whine, whimper...!

Pamela Anderson put her inplants up on Ebay that were autographed for 10,000. I'm sure you can auction your wisdom teeth.

Aw shoot, sorry Chris! You were so cool about the whole thing I thought you were one of those lucky ones that just have them popped out no problem! I'll remember for the rest of my life how much those things can hurt. Good luck with the healing, and don't rush the solid food, trust me. You DON'T want to get a dry socket, that is really awful. If the pain doesn't get better after a few days, go back in and they'll make you feel great with a little oil of cloves and correct the problem if it's a dry socket. Hope you feel better soon...

Sorry it took me long to get back to you guys...I couldn't respond to the post because I forgot where I lived.
So, Chrystal, the answer is "yes": I really do think President Nixon is doing a terrific job this term.

Total, that is young! Most people don't get Wisdom teeth until they are 21 I think. From the above post ...see what happens when you lose them! Chris don't forget you were to give me your cc #'s too! |

Chrystal yeah I think 21 is the age when you get them but I guess I'm just real early. I'm really nervous about the removal....

Scary story I heard....
When my youth pastor went to get his removed (he is 45 now, this was when he was 21) He said that he remembers sitting in the chair and they gave him his shots to knock himc out so he would be asleep during the procedure. He says that they started cutting just a little to early, right before he passed out he felt them slice his gums open and his motuh got REALLY warm from the blood. Next thing he knows he wakes up and they are out of his mouth! Not to scare you just thought I'd share a little story. Chris |

Gee Chris... what a nice thing to imagine before calling it a night.
Since horror stories are "in" tonight... I had three removed. They couldn't find the fourth. And I was awake. They gave me nitrous oxide and a couple of shots. Then set to work with these power tools. I remember it well. It was a serious Black and Decker experience and it hurt while it happened. I also remember being under the influence of the gas and wondering why I didn't care that it hurt. Clove oil is a good thing. Jonathan

My dad got his removed by an army doctor with NO ANESTETIA(no painkillers, he was fully awake).
They used a drill and the tooth fragmented, and they had to spend like 2 hours picking out little bits of tooth from his gums, and for the next 2 weeks he was picking little bits of tooth out of his mouth and his food. |

Hi Totalpackage,
Don't worry about the horror stories...they'll put you under and you won't feel a thing. You'll have a goofy smile when you wake up. Lemme know how it works out for you..and good luck! |

None of mine were below the surface, and none of them were curved, so each extraction was pretty darn quick and painless for me. Except for one, my bottom left, for some reason...that one I felt a little bit of pain, though I can't describe it to you. I remember having pain, but I think the laughing gas made me forget what it felt like.
Why can I not stop tounging these tooth holes?

I have a Dentist friend who allowed me to witness the extraction of two wisdom teeth. He just had to show off - something magicians know nothing about. Both teeth hadn't surfaced and one was coming in sideways.
Chris, you don't want to know what was REALLY going on during the procedure. I walked away within minuts. LOL! The patient was on Gas and having a heck of a good time. It was kind of odd to see someone having a good time while gums were cut open and forceps used to pull and yank those teeth out. I'm glad we have the "types" who can do that kind of work because I'm out of the question. |

Jonathan! That Black and Decker comment was hilarious!
To lighten it up a little, one of my friends had his removed last year. Proceedure went pretty well. He was slightly sore afterwards but within a couple days he said it didn't hurt anymore. Goodluck Total, you'll be alright. Oh and Randy, I'm not to sure if I'd be able to last a few minutes. I think I might have walked away right at the cut...but then again I have seen surgery happen right in front of me. For some strange reason I couldn't help but try and get a better look, then i had to leave because I was about to vomit Chris |
