Hi Guys
Thanks for the positive comments about this new release. A few points: It was indeed released with Daryl's blessing as it is heavily based on his original routine. Daryl recently said of the routine: 'Nicholas has added a wonderful convincer to one of my favorite "offbeat" routines. Darn! I wish I would have thought of it. Great idea Nicholas! DARYL As regards to currency, you can use other currencies BUT the discrepancy of just one dollar is what makes this so unfathomable. Pounds sterling would be way too complicated to follow and as dollars are so recognisable it is easy to justify their use as I talk of three guys on holiday etc....In the booklet I discuss an idea / method which enables the use of coins but you may find (as I did) that it is too much of a bother to carry around the necessary coinage to do this. Best wishes Nick Einhorn |

I agree. Paper bills are the way to go. If you don't work in the U.S. the idea of being on vacation in the U.S. is a good premise. If you are in the U.K. using 5 pound notes would probably work technically, but I think the premise of missing just one single dollar is better than missing 5 pounds. Also, it becomes a much more expensive lunch! The fact that U.S. bills are all the same size could be important too.

The "kids" are just as dumb or smart as they have always been. They are also as rebellious and disrespectful to adults as they have always been however it is my opinion that the kids today, at least in America have a great appreciation for the differences and complexities for those that make up the human race so I see that aspect of modern young people as an improvement. I think our pop music sucks though, I would gladly trade Buddy holly, Otis Redding or Jerry Lee Lewis for Kesha, Weezer or Lady Gaga anyday.

I am very interested in buying this trick as it would be a nice introduction to another routine I do
based also on easy math and classic principles ( http://youtu.be/onLLEUdi-_g ) but I need to use something else than dollar bills . - Can this trick be done with paper other than bills ( cards, photos, ...) - Can I use fake bills (photocopies) ? - Can the bills (or else ?) be laminated ?or does it work only with normal bills of the same size ? Thanks Gerry |

Come on Ted- Weezer isn't all that bad! I was under the impression that you actually liked that kind of music!
On another note, I definitely agree that the kids of today are pretty darn stupid. I also do the exact same thing as others here, and give change and extra bills to get a $5 or $10 bill back, but they just don't get it. I was accused a half year ago or so of trying to trick the cashier into giving me more money back than I deserved. All I was trying to do was get a $10 bill back instead of $7.89 back (or whatever it was). They refused to take the extra change that I gave them. And so it goes. |

The very first person I saw perform this really amazing and stumper of a routine was the late great george kirkendal. I saw this back when I was about 15 years old. It is such a great moment when they count again and it still does not add up.

Try this on your favorite waitress sometime. We did at one of the casino bars......she went nuts!

I originally tried doing this method with bills and coins. I used $25 in bills, and used the change to effect the disappearance.
For those of you who are wondering how to do this with non-American moneys, that may even be a better option as there are many more coin vanishes than bill vanishes I believe... |
