Hi,

Does anyone have a review or any experience with the Mobius Keyholder?

Isn't this the old horse shoe puzzle made with a key ring and cut out coin?

That's what it looks like to me. It won't impress a puzzle junkie. I'd rather that the coin was replaced by a mini-horseshoe so that the slot in the coin doesn't point glaringly to the method.

This did remind me of the puzzle too. I just thought of replacing a key chain fob and thought maybe this would make it a little more interesting.

ditto

So I pulled out my horseshoe puzzle, but forgot how to do it! None the less, it does seem impossible, and the changes to the props, and or handling, does offer interesting possibilities.

Ok, I figured out how to get the ring off, but I still think it looks impossible (to myself at least).

I think the question is how many people are familiar with the horseshoe puzzle, and to what extent the mobius key ring reminds them of that. For me, I think it was the handling in the demo that reminded me of the horseshoe puzzle's solution. Disguise/hide that key move, and it may fool those who are familiar with the puzzle.

Regardless, the price seemed steep, and what's the rationale (for the spectator) for a coin with a hole in it?

I've seen many link/unlink puzzles, but I don't recall the horseshoe puzzle.

Nevertheless, the method seems obvious. Especially, as Alan mentions, when the silly slot in the coin points to it.

I also dislike having the word "Möbius" in the name. This thing has nothing to do with a Möbius strip; the marketing department's cleverness has exceeded its understanding.
