Why is it that it`s called a HIP POCKET Mullica Wallet if the advertisement says it`s a back pocket wallet and people on here asked if it fit nicely in the back pocket? I want to carry this in my hip pocket. Will it fit comfortably?

Hi Patrick
It's called a Hip Pocket wallet as it will fit comfortably into the average hip pocket. But a lot of people carry their wallet in the back pocket so the ad made a point of mentioning that. If you buy this from phpresents and for some reason you're not happy with the fit in you hip pocket we will be happy to give you a refund. be well, Jane Harris (A.G.) |

This is going in my hip pocket as I always keep my wallet that way.
I really like the looks of this. magicmike30

Hi Tim thanks for the answer (Licience V credit card) I only ask as most people I perform for over here in the UK don't usually carry their drivers licience on their person but always have a Credit card. Thanks.

You're right Peter, my mistake. I'd still like to keep it in my front pocket though, so I hope it fits well. I hate having things in my back pocket when I sit down because it makes it unleveled, uncomfortable, and bad for your back.

I've done a bit of research and I'm sure Peter knows what he's talking about as well. It sounds like it makes sense for it to be the front pockets, but even those aren't on your hips. The dictionary defines the hip pocket as the pocket being directly behind the hip.

From Webster's Dictionary: "Hip pocket: a pocket in the back of a pair of pants."

I saw on the Paul Harris Presents website that the wallets are no longer on pre order. Does anyone know if they have shipped yet to those who preordered?

Paul Harris and his producers - Tim Trono and Alan Wong have a perfect winner! The quote is right: "The easiest, most practicual, no-palm signed card to wallet you can do." The one and only...Bravo! How does it compare to the previous Hip Pocket Mullica Wallets sold by Penguin? Is the leather any stiffer? Is there a place for money, which would make it more wallet-like? Or is the only difference the brass zipper?

I picked this up from a brick and mortar shop recently. It's a top-notch wallet. I don't have the version from years past (Penguin) so I can't compare. I do, however, own lots of wallets; so I'd say that the quality of this is good. The leather isn't cheap in quality, and the zipper seems like it will hold up well.
The outer wallet has three credit card slots and a place for some folded money (perfect for "Extreme Burn" or something). The inner wallet has a place for a photo identification card (e.g. driver's license) as there's a display window built in. I haven't had the chance to watch much of the DVD so I can't comment on it. I like mine, too. The wallet is soft leather like the original Mullica wallets, and it's just the right size. Not too big and not too small.
I thought the routines on the DVD were all good. My favorites were "License to Astonish" and "Whack the Pack". Joe Russell is a good demonstrator and reminds me of a young Paul Harris. Personally, I can't see using this as my every day wallet. If you put a lot of credit cards and bills in the wallet then it's no longer "super slim". But, I'm very happy with my purchase. I believe I will use this. Robert |
