Very poor quality. I thought it was plastic. I walked away from the purchase (and I walked in ready to buy). My local dealer didn't even want to show it. He just wanted me to buy it sight unseen, without opening the dvd box. Now I know why. Sad. Very disappointing. Not to mention the poor packaging design. The wallet doesn't even fit in the box so it looks damaged before using. The customer has to do the work to restore to proper quality after being smashed in the case. Lame

Nate - I thought that "Super Slim" meant that this one was already the "thin" version?!

Thank you.

I don't think it's very poor quality at all. It looks like plastic at first, but once you start using it, and getting it worn in, then it looks more like leather (Even though it really is leather)

I believe USING this wallet as an everyday wallet and breaking it in is key. I've been using mine for a while now as my every day wallet. It looks natural AND works better if you do this. When you first get the wallet, everything is sort of stiff and hard to use. Once you get some "wear" on it, cards become SO much easier to load because the leather softens up some and becomes more flexible. This is VERY important for this wallet..otherwise it can be a little difficult to use and you'll probably end up fumbling a little bit.

I have always preferred PALM wallets over no palm wallets, but hated the fact that they require setup via slide positioning. I started using the Superslim Mullica because I wanted my card to wallet routine to be able to be performed in an impromptu situation. It works great...and I find myself palming the card and sliding it into my back pocket as I take out my wallet instead of stealing the card off the deck like the instructions say to do(habit I guess...)

ANYWAY...I have recently turned to the JOL wallet. I received it yesterday and spent some time stretching it and getting it molded to my booty. It's EXACTLY what I've been looking for! It's built in such a way that you can do a palmed load with NO setup whatsoever, and with the Plus wallet he offers, you can do PALM OR NO-PALM loading! It's the best of both worlds and without a doubt the supreme wallet in my opinion. SO easy to load and SO easy to use!

I'm late to this one...mostly because I have a regular Mullica and it just did not occur to me that not only is this wallet design killer, but holy moly the routines that come with it are incredible.

Truly the License routine alone is worth the price. I'm lucked out having a customer want one! Gotta get one for myself. Truly an exceptional deal magically.

Brad, I agree. I've carried The Tim Trono Super Slim Hip Pocket Mullica ( put out by Paul Harris Presents ) for sometime now. I picked it up from penguin Magic

http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S12978

I have my wallet loaded and it has maintained its slim shape. I have a mini magic show in it ( a tip I got from Eugene Burger ).

The wallet comes with a dvd and you learn mini miracles to perform right out of the wallet!

1) Signed card to wallet
2) Paul Harris's License to astonish
3) Paul Harris's Whack your pack
4) Paul Harris's Flash fold: a signed business card appears folded inside your wallet

The gold zipper on the inside wallet is an idea of Tommy Wonder's. Their eyes go right to it for the revelations.

The Badger is the one you want!

Not only is the zipper normal looking but its made out the the nicest leather. Its also one of the only authorized Mullica wallets.

Nate anything in your hands is a miracle!

I've seen the Badger and I think it's very bulky and doesn't look good. The credit card slots have those puncture points on either side that looks like those cheap wallets you see at low end stores.

As far as the "zipper looking normal", I think the idea from Tommy Wonder to have the zipper be gold is a step forward. In most environments, you can't make out a black zipper against the black wallet. The gold zipper draws their attention right to where the magic is happening. Something Tommy Wonder was an expert at.

You can see the Super Slim Mullica up close in the demo:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrCJLoUin......embedded

On the dvd that coems with the Super Slim, there are killer routines that don't even require a deck of cards!

Wayne Kawamoto reviewed the Super Slim Hip Pocket ( Wayne's a restaurant performer ).

http://magic.about.com/od/magiciansvideo......lica.htm

At the end of the day, it depends on what the performer prefers. Some star performers don't do card to wallet ( David Acer ), Pat page said on his video using an envelope with the wallet did nothing to the trick, yet Whit Haydn uses it and kills with it. Some pull the signed card from their pocket or shoe and skip the wallet.

As I said I only just saw this...sold my first one....it's like we saw two different wallets. What I saw was a very, very nice flat black leather wallet beautifully made and pretty much ready to work after a little bit of break in. Excellent quality. One thing some might notice, but it's a function of how the wallet is made is some marks in the leather from the inner, smaller wallet. But, I didn't find this to be a bother considering that one of reasons for a the way the wallet was made was to keep it thin and flexible. I liked it.

I use the Kaylor U.C.C.U. when doing signed card to wallet. Taking ANOTHER tip from Tommy Wonder ( Tommy didn't care for card to wallet as the wallet wasn't in play before the effect ) I let them hold my wallet or place it on a table. Steal the signed card with the U.C.C.U. hand them the deck, pick up ( or take back ) the wallet and....miracle time.

I've had my Super Slim Hip Pocket for some time and it still looks new. And I use it as my everyday wallet!

I just received my SSHPMW after more than a year-and-a-half of debating buying it. All I can say is I wish I had bought it when it first came out. I absolutely love it. This is something I am going to get a lot of use out of. Great product and great DVD as well. Love it!

Kranzo, you say the zipper looks silly, yet you have the Badger with a zipper and your name attached...

@ Dave, I think Kranzo was referring to the fact the SuperSlim features a GOLD zipper. Although it may nicely frame the extraction/reveal of a card, in some people's opinion it just looks hokey and cheap. The Badger features a black zipper that more/less blends in with the wallet, making it more subtle.

Tommy Wonder chose the gold zipper for specific reasons. A black zipper n a black wallet can't be seen. in fact, most don't even close the zipper because of this.

Silly? A wallet inside a wallet can be viewed as silly. An envelope inside a wallet can be viewed as silly. Some people view abstract art as silly.

Aha, Thanks Ray for clearing that up, I understand Kranzo has some interest in the Badger and I thought he may be knocking the SS.
Which confused me more was I have read a lot by Kranzo and found him to be very much "right on" and very helpful and thoughtful of all of us, my mistake.
Still I am looking for a wallet and trying to decide between these 2, not easy.

I have been carrying this as my daily wallet for 16 months. It looks like it is only a few days old. The quality has been solid for myself and its performances.

Well, the Badger did just get an excellent review in the latest issue of Magic. And Richard Kaufman singled it out in his Genii Speaks column as a great wallet. I normally do not intrude in other threads, but in this case my product was mentioned... That is all...
