I think I agree with Glenn about the dates on letters providing there are lots of up to date letters too. A mixture of both seems to me to make sense.

Because I don't believe you even do shows anymore. 1998 was 14 years ago.

So what... I have been doing shows since before 1975. And I did birthday party shows back in 1965. So it was a personal thing? However I will be glad to answer your question. Yes I still do shows.
I would never put up a new letter just because I want to keep who I do shows for (my clients) to myself. What I don't do anymore is magic lectures or sell books or DVD's to magicians. And I have been thinking of not doing restaurant gigs anymore. Because they seem to get in my way when I do shows. I am sending out mailings and booking - starting another tour and will be on the road again. Cheers!

I just posted this in my blog...
After doing over 117 restaurants since about 1985. I have decided to retire from doing this kind of a show. Walk around close up in a restaurant might not be my thing anymore. I often wonder if I am getting burned out. And it is time to take a temp lay off from doing them. Or if this is it and at the age of 55 (almost 56). I am wondering if I have just had enough and lost interest in doing this kind of work. The last time I took a lay off was about two years ago and I stopped doing restaurants for a single year. However I just don't have the interest anymore at this time. Perhaps I will be bitten by the bug to do restaurants again. But at this time my interest is doing formal close up shows in the style of Don Alan and Jack Pyle. I have not retired from magic - I am just not doing the market of performing magic in restaurants. I still do my stand up act, close up at parties and my comedy stage hypnotic show.
