There are plenty of things you can do with him. He is extremely versital. Have him do a magic trick where he dives into a bag containing a mixed up deck of cards and he comes out with a selection on his nose, or get the zig-zag rocky illusion, or just tell jokes with him, like I do.
1.) He is also a trianed seeing eye coon. One time a blind man went into a store and did this. (Swing rocky around by his tail over your head a few times.) The salesman came over and asked "What are you doing?". he said "Oh nothing! Just looking around!" 2.) I take mine into a restaurant and feed him off the table. (Do feeding move) The waitress would come over and say "Sir, we do not allow live animals in our restaurant.". I say "OK! (slam rocky on the floor and hold him by the tail) can you take care of this one for me?". She shreils "Youve killed it". "Dont worry, I know CPR.(lay rocky on his back, blow into his mouth while you squeeze the belly so that he is trying to sit up)". "There, see he's all right" |

No slight on you, Spatrick, but I don't think a public display of animal abuse would do too much to enhance one's reputation as a children's entertainer. There's also the chance that a child could be watching and be tempted to try the same with their guinea pig or other furry creature at home. Only their attempts at CPR would reward them with nothing more than a mouthful of fur.

Great suggestions - thanks for the info. Even more encouraged by the concern shown for furry animals
I have introduced him inot my routine by producing him from a double loaded paper bag - after announing that I can change a balloon into a wild animal !! The effect was always fun, but now with Rocky as the produced animal the laugh just got longer. JB |

The best gag I do is to tell the kids he'll do a trick for hem if they yell "SIT UP". They do this a few times and nothing happens so you tell the kids to make it look like lots of fun to sit up by giggling. They giggle and he sits up. you repeat this a few times and then stop. but the kids ALWAYS giggle one more time. So up his head goes again. You look surprised which sets the kids off again. They laugh harder and harder and so the head starts shooting up and down like a jackhammer until eventually he faints in exhaustion (and then I do mouth to mouth...the only standard bit I do)

I saw a magician put a nice twist to Rocky. At the end, Rocky sat up and peed over the whole audience. (some squirter). It was hilarious.

I agree, swinging the raccoon around by the tail, for a childrens audience, is not a good idea. Children relate to puppets, and the way you treat Rocky is how they feel they're being treated. This applies to any puppet, but especially Rocky because he does look so very life-like.
Plus, if I was in the audience with my family when Rocky ****ed on me, I would be ****ed (the american definition). That's just gross. However, for adult audiences, such at a comedy club, that gag and the swinging by the tail bit would be hilarious. |
