I was talking to someone at work last week and there was a software contractor standing next to us. She is an excitable sort.
So I was standing there bouncing a 2" bouncy ball while I was talking. When I was sure that the contractor was watching me I made the ball vanish on the down throw. I frowned at my hand in confusion and then I looked over at the contractor (who was also frowning in confusion) and I said, 'Did you just take my ball?' Her, 'No no, I think it must have rolled over there somewhere.' Me, 'No, I think you took my ball. I'm going to want that back.' Her, 'I didn't take your ball.' Me, 'It's ok just bring it back. You can give it back tomorrow.' Hehehe... That's probably the most fun I've had with someone all year. It's kind of juvenile but you have to try this on someone and watch their reaction. If anyone else has a magical joke they played on someone I'd like to hear more ideas like this. It's good to amuse others but sometimes we should amuse ourselves . |

We have a "water" fund we can contribute to each month at work. It's about ten dollars per month. One day I went in with a fifty dollar bill to pay the lady who administers the fund and asked her if she had change. Luckily, she did not, so I got to do a bill switch in front of her and a guy who's now my boss, and turned it into a ten. It probably helped that they had no idea I was into magic, so they just kind of stared at first with that "what just happened?" look. That's still my favorite personal bill switch performance.
Now appearing nightly in my basement.

Hehehe, that's good stuff. I also had fun recently with a t*p*t in a Taco Bell. The lady behind the counter made change for my purchase and then I clapped my hands together and made the stack of coins disappear. You should have seen the look on her face, it was priceless.
