I "made" a chop cup from a shell casing that's kind of interesting. I think they call this trench art when you make things out of expended shell casings. I've seen pencil cups, ashtrays, lamps, etc. made from them, so I thought "why not a chop cup." This little cup weighs a whopping 7.2 oz and will take a mini pool ball load, but not a golf ball. I have it pictured with a full size 8-ball as well for size comparison. I plan on using it in a couple of pubs that I like to do a little magic in back in Missouri.

That's cool Dale. Besides being a good conversation piece, the shape is really nice.

Thanks jazzy snazzy. I "opened" the mouth up a bit with a commercial plumber's flare tool. I think it looks more interesting than with straight up and down sides.

It's hard to find a cup of that calibre.

Thanks for the compliments and one-liners! I thought my opening would be: "You've heard of the three shell game, but, have you ever seen the one shell game?"

It's military.
Can we call it the Stealth Cup?

Better trench art than trench mouth.
BTW, to make a stealth cup, you would have to paint it black. Or maybe invisible.

He served in Northern Africa and Italy, but I have no idea which location he acquired this from. I cut it down to make it the right size before I flared it. This cup serves a two-fold purpose for me, something to have fun with and as an heirloom of sorts. My father and four brothers all enlisted in various branches of the service in WWII. Their story is just the opposite of "Saving Private Ryan" in that all five returned relatively unscathed. I've made many chops cups over the years, but this one is very special to me.
