Hey Everyone,
I've been working on my web site and just need a little feed back. I know I need to up date some pictures, but what does everyone think? How does it flow? Is it too wordy? Is it easy to navigate through? What types of pictures would you suggest? I've done this myself, so does it look amateurish? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
David A Trombetta

Everything below is only one opinion -
Amateurish? Yes. Pictures of YOU, not your equipment. Get rid of all the animations and clip art. They seem very dated. Get someone to create custom graphics in Photoshop or Illustrator for all your headlines and logos. Get rid of the counter and weather at the bottom of the pages. The About us story is WAY too long and rambling. We want to know who you are, not your origin story. One paragraph of how you got into magic, one about you personally, one about what you do now. Much smaller text everywhere. Create a video ASAP and get it on your site. That's ultimately what people expect at a performers site. Good start. Keep working on it. peter |

Yes, it does look like you did it yourself. And I say that as one who is fighting my way through making my own site even as we speak! But if that's what you've got and can afford, then that's what we go with ....
You look like a nice next-door neighbor guy who also does magic tricks. If you want to look more like a polished and professional magician, then I agree with suspectacts: lose the animations; use pictures of you performing, especially with audience members having fun; get a video; re-do the "About" page. Your text styles (size, colors, usage) again help frame you as just an average guy who dabbles in magic. If this is who you are and what people who visit your site will expect, then you are reinforcing that image. But if you are looking for a more polished image, then you might want to reformat. Take a look at other's sites. (Mine is down and won't be back until this weekend.) If you are a high-dollar master professional, it's no problem to put out a site that says that to everyone - and you'll usually have the money to pay for it. The hardest part is trying to get a site format that conveys you as you are if you're not a slick pro, don't want to portray that, and don't have a lot of money to sink into a web design. Ed |

If your on hosting that has a cpanel and you can install wordpress DO IT
then head over to WOOTHEMES.com and get a HIGH end theme and start plugging your content into it.. as an entertainer you should be focusing on your show, your marketing, and not spending MONTHS to get a good website
its ok.. balloon dogs don't bite

You need to resize the images in photoshop (or something similar) before uploading them to the site. At the moment they are huge images that are then resized by the browser when the page is loaded. This makes the page take a lot longer to load and gives it a definite amateurish feel.
I also agree with everyone else about the clipart/animations etc. |

Oh, also I think you should try to establish a template for each page to give the site some consistency. At the moment I think almost every page has text in different fonts and different colours.
