I have been using it for a few months now and it is great. Small, light weight and loud. Three inputs and great sound. Only thing missing is battery power, other than that it is really great. Rests on a regular mic stand, no need for any of my other heavy speaker stands. Cut down on so much weight.

Harry...thanks for posting. I love my Roland Street Cube (battery powered & loud), but I think I might end up picking up one of these, just so I can set it on a mic stand and let the audio carry, provided I have power to plug it in...the only reason I went with the Street Cube over the SRM 150 was the battery powered feature, which does come in handy...but the Street Cube does not have a way to mount it up on s stand...

I too love my Mackie SRM 150. I don't miss the battery feature because all my shows are inside or there is power near by.

When I was starting out I couldn't afford the Mackies but really wanted some, after shopping around I found a pair of Kam Soundforce 12a speakers. Built on similar lines to the Mackies with looks that if resembled Mackies any more there could be copyright issues! The sound quality is very good aswell, people may argue it's not the same but after using it next to a Mackie it's pretty darn close. They're a big bigger a probably a tad heavier but all the above just for £475.00 / $768.54 for a pair - you can't go wrong.
Will probably upgrade in the near future for the size and weight but certainly not for lack of quality Just to add, this is reviewing up against the Mackie SRM350 sorry I read the title wrong

Me too...simply a great system that practically makes my Fender system obsolete.

My Mackie SRM 150 is now en route!
Tony was a pleasure to conduct this transaction with. I will use this for my smaller shows (100 people or less ) and and my JBL EON 510 for the larger shows. Luckily December has booked nicely so I can begin to pay for these babies. I have to thank all the knowledgeable Café members, whom, through their honest and informative postings and PMs, helped me through these costly buying decisions. I am truly appreciative. And I know that other fellow member shave been equally helped as well! Jonathan

Several weeks ago I did a show at in a theater for several hundred people. I had done it there last year, and they have a wonderful sound system. This year their soundman wasn't available, and I wasn't told this until I was setting up. I normally would have brought my larger Fender system, but was told I wouldn't need it since I could use their system again. Now, at the last minute, I needed it. All I had with me was my Mackie150. I set that up on the stage behind my backdrop, and it worked perfectly. I've used it for smaller shows before, but nothing this large. It helped that the theater had good acoustics, but I was really impressed with the great sound quality, and loudness, of this system.

Really liking my Mackie SMR 150 for the smaller venues (ie. up to 125-150 in audience). Use my JBL EON 510 for larger venues.
