We got two Tofurkey pizzas last night. They tasted great and are definitely on my list of options, however they were a bit more expensive and a bit smaller (not much either way) than what I usually get.
For me (not being vegan) I don't really have a need for fake meat on my pizza, I'm more than happy with all the vegetarian options. Like I said though, they were very good and I will probably get them in the future.

My wife can't eat cheese due to dietary reasons. I'm glad to hear about some "fake cheese" options that might just pass muster...

Daiya is really a huge step up, for cooking, because it has a willingness to melt that other fake cheeses really haven't. For slices for sandwiches and such, the Tofutti cheese is pretty good. Daiya was the 2010 Veg News "Cheese of the Year," and 2009's "Product of the Year."
If your wife's dietary restrictions are dairy-based, some of the other products on the Veggie Awards list might be of interest: http://vegnews.com/web/articles/page.do?pageId=2654&catId=5

I liked the cheese quite a bit, I definitely recommend giving it a try. I remember trying to make a fake-cheese grilled cheese sandwich as a kid ...big mistake!

I like Pizza with smoked Buffalo Mozzeralla cheese on it. The pizza is a bit more pricy, but only because it is worth every penny that they charge for it. I also have dietary rules that I must strictly follow I'm Italian, and we are very passionate about our food.

You could always go for a turducken...
Also known, when doing rope magic, as "Cordini"

I had turducken! My wife refuse to eat it because ducks are cute.

turkey, duck, chicken is turducken. It is a boneless chicken stuffed inside of a boneless duck, stuffed inside of a boneless turkey. Courtney All smoked buffalo mozzerella is imported from Italy (as far as I know) and is only availible in Italian delis, and fine Italian restaurants. It is made from water buffalo milk, and up unitl just recently it was only availible in the Naples Italy region. Because of it's popularity, and limited supply it is highly unlikely that it will make it to the land of pink tofu. I am very passionate about food, and music, the food, and music choices availible around here is why I will never move.

Prosciutto de parma? Yes.
California is very big and there a lot of places that don't have access to a lot of foods, but I think you'd be hard pressed to think of many types of food you can't find in the SF Bay area.

Sure, all over. Courtney is right, I can't imagine anything you have there you can't find somewhere in the bay area. Where I am now you cannot get most Italian deli meats but in San Jose they all carried everything.

I am really surprised because prosciutto de parma is a very very prised Itilian deli item. I gave you a very dufficult food to find, and you found it. Perhaps I could live in the bay area, but I don't think I could live in LA.

I hate to break this to you but you can get prosciutto de parma at Costco.
San Francisco had a major Italian section. |

LA and the SF Bay Area are very different. There was a movement at one point (maybe still I don't pay attention) to have California divided into two states Northern and Southern. Culturally it basically already is two states.
Sure we've got hippy food, but we have everything else to. Come on over, we'll find you something worth while!

I've been from SF to the Mexican border. We used to have a saying around here in the 60's and 70's. Lots of people move to LA, and the smart ones come back.

Conversely, they sell and cook with tofu in Italy.
