It is my birthday, and I have no idea how you knew that...I'm now 23...next thing you know, I'll be sitting in an old folks home somewhere with a nurse dabbin' the cream of wheat off my chin...
Thanks Bob! hmmm...if I perform for my own birthday, would it be tax deductible?....hmmmm..... |

Kyle,
I knew that because I have ESP! (That's the Extra Salt and Pepper that comes with age.) ~~~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY! ~~~ Do be careful with that tax deduction. You know that we will be at Magi-Whirl http://magi-whirl.org/ right after taxes are due. It's too close to Washington D.C. for comfort after that tax return is filed. And you know that mentalist go wild with the number 23! Remember too that 18 million Americans are out of work, so the President hired 18 thousand new IRS Agents to hassle them about the taxes they can't pay on money they didn't make. Government math is unique! We are going to borrow our way out of debt according them. I've seen Losander float a table. Do you think he will float the USA a loan? Looking forward to seeing you at Magi-Whirl. Bob |

This sucks. I can't attend this year because it's the same weekend as Fechters... Maybe next time.

Same reason for me. Hard to pass Fetchers after 35+ years. Lots of old, dear friends there.
Maybe next year. Richard

Greetings from Magi-Whirl 2011,
In between lectures? Already visited the Dealer Room? Hungry for food and more magic? Visit the All New Magic Oasis! We have created a brand new area of the convention this year and it's called the Magic Oasis. This is a place where you can go during those down times - in between lectures, close-up shows, and visits to the dealer room. You can go there to grab some snacks and drink, sit and watch old and new magic performance videos on our flat-screen TV, hop on the computer to blog and tweet, and demo, share, and learn from other magicians such as yourself. Hungry for real food during the convention? Afraid to leave and miss something? You no longer have to leave the convention to get something good to eat. We will be serving food during the Saturday Lunch and Dinner break in the Magic Oasis (check the schedule for times). Stop at the registration desk and pick-up a lunch and dinner menu. Select what you want from the menu, drop it off at the registration desk, and purchase your lunch and/or dinner ticket (prices will be announced shortly). All other times we will be serving snacks and drinks (pay your server as your order). Where is the Magic Oasis? It will be in the upstairs atrium area of the high school. Just look for the signs as you walk in the school entrance near the registration desk. It's No Mirage! Have a great Day! Register NOW at http://www.Magi-Whirl.Org |

Room confirmed and waiting impatiently for April 29th.
I have missed these guys and look forward to being there again. This is fun! Bob1Dog will be there too. Bob Sanders PS --- Please, no more Ritz Crackers for Kyle Jarrard. We can only take so much Whiffle Dust without damage to props. Keeping him in his straight jacket is enough of a problem. However, rubber bands help keep him in check. (Don't let him know how to get loose.) |

Kyle and I will be there Friday and ready for the fun.
For the Thursday night before, we will be joining the magicians in Knoxville, Tennessee at Ring 58. Tom Vorjohan is going to teach us how to do a force. (He told me he had never seen anyone force an egg before! I wonder if he uses something else.) Bob Sanders |

Bob,
Packing and getting ready to start that way. Kyle and I will stop at Ring 58 in Knoxville Thursday night and arrive just in time for 5 o'clock traffic there Friday. Thank you for the warning about the advantages of being there early. We look forward to seeing you Friday. Every Magi-Whirl experience I've ever had was a great one! (And this is hardly my first one.) Bob Sanders |

Nice little convention, a good choice/balance of lecturers and performers, though perhaps a little break between lectures rather than one immediately following another would give people chance to stretch their legs, do a bit of magic shopping etc
On the whole, Theo, Mr. Bob and the rest did a great job. Hopefully it will be better supported next year. And maybe next year I'll spend longer down there and look around the city, which from my hotel guide book sounds like a really nice place to visit. Heck, I might even visit before next year's convention! Paul. |
