Hey Guys!

First off, I also recently posted this question in "The workers" section but I was recently told that there's a few people that frequent this section who may be able to help me out quite a bit (who doesn't visit "the workers" section).

Does anybody know where I can learn the one-handed bottom deal that Steve Forte does (preferably book format) approximately 1:09 seconds into the following video:

Steve Forte Demonstration

From my understanding, the Gambling Protection Series isn't geared for teaching tehcniques as much as giving a general overview of different techniques used in card cheating.

I'm looking for a one-handed bottom deal that allows me to display the card (with the same hand) prior to placing the card on a table. Steve Forte's is the only one I've found so far...

Once again, I posted this question in the workers section so hopefully it's okay with everybody that I posted it here also.

All suggestions, thoughts, & advice are appreciated.

Hi Andrew ,

I don't think you will find anyone to tip that specific move. You may get a variant but to the best of my knowledge those are from Steve's personal video notes and not taught on any DVD. That isn't to say theres not a one handed bottom that you can learn from a book.

Thanks for the info EinD. From all of the advice I've received before I posted here on the Café, I think you're right. For quite a few years I've been comfortably doing a one handed bottom deal but it wasn't until recently that I've been working on one that allows me to display the card prior to placing it down. Whether I receive any tips on similar techniques or not, Ill most likely continue to refine my method. It'd just be really nice/helpful to learn some other similar methods....especially if they're better than my work in progress.

All the Best,
Andrew

I have no idea where to find it but I've gotta say that is some major eye candy (as is everything I've seen him do or "NOT" do)! Would love to meet the man and see his work up close and personal!

I wholeheartedly agree Mickey! I think its safe to say he's in a league that only a very few will ever be able to reach. Now, back to that one handed deal & display...

Didn't he said it is a Domico Deal? or something like that.

It's a D'Amico-style deal. The D'Amico deal was a second deal, if I recall correctly. You can find it in Marlo's RCT. I don't remember if there are bottom deal variants in the book but I don't think so (don't have it here).

It's certainly a D'amico style deal. RCT does teach a one handed D'Amico bottom deal. Without giving too much away, the biggest difference between Steve Forte's and D'Amico's is where the card pivots out of the deck. Also, D'Amico's version ends in a grip that would require quite a bit of altering to achieve what I'm trying to achieve with the display.

I'm still looking for a technique that is extremely similar to Steve Forte's version...

Andrew

Looks like an Erdnase transformation.

Got it! But now I got to work out the top deal that looks like the bottom.

If you have QuickTime, you can view the video slow motion, and you can see approximately how he does it. I can sort of do it, but it will take a LOT of practice to get that move down perfectly...I've been working at it for a while too Smile

I can only do it with half a deck.

I would like to know if there is a second deal version too.

Also, now then we are on a topic about One Handed Deals... Can anyone of you do a One Handed Middle Deal? I know that there are a version published in Card Classics Of Ken Krenzel.

Allan Ackerman does a one-handed middle deal on one of his tape sets.

Technically speaking I can see how one could deal a second with it using a push off but its hard to coordinate the move altogether. Most of the time I am getting in pickle or a jam with the second but I have got one or two of them just right.

While we are at it what about a Greek deal with it while smoking a pipe?

:)

I tried to do it with an Second deal too. I can see how hard it really is, I only got it to work once, but it was very slow and visible, of course. Anyway, it's pretty fun to practice actually.
