The magic is on me not in my props. The presentatios is the key. A deck of cards is really an old stuff but it could still be fun. Is the showmanship that matters not the props. See you!!!

I know what you are trying to say. I agree with you to a great degree.

I think, though, that when you say "A deck of cards is really an old stuff" it's like saying that a screwdriver or a hammer is really old stuff.

These are just the tools, not the product. Taking the tool analogy a bit further -- you can use a regular hammer, or you can use a power hammer, such as an air hammer or an electric hammer. The power hammer may produce results more quickly, but in the end, if the user of the tool knows what he is doing, the result will be the same.

Bill, you're a genious. The most important gimmick is the magician. It wasn't the "Double Backed Card" that fooled Houdini. Vernon Fooled Houdini, not the trick itself. I'm not saying I don't like the new stuff, in fact I love them. I'm saying that in the appropriate hands a simple "Egg Bag" could become the most funny and powerful trick in the entire world. See you!!!

Exactly! I've watched Johnny Thompson knock a crowd of jaded magicians completely off their seats with his Egg Bag routine. And I've seen guys who have spent a fortune on all of the latest gimmicks and doo-dads try to impress an audience with their new toys.

Expertise and practice win out over toys every time.
