We are out of quarantine finally! (Yay! After only 18 months.) Everyone is fine.
And to celebrate, we brought home a year old replacement canary for the one that died. He came home and settled in last night. This morning, I woke to Canary song. I've really missed that!

Ill try to get a short vid of him singing. He's quite the little vocalist.
Only complication is that hes not *quite* sure its okay to sing in front of me yet...

When he sings praise him, and sing with him! make a game out of it! that's how I get most of my birds singing and talking! even my teil says his name and whistles xfiles and andy griffith! I start whistling the tune and he takes over LOL

Here's Tommy's video vocal debut!
http://gallery.me.com/jeffpk/100011 Hes actually sung a fair bit longer then that. Hes a really good little singer! What worked was patience. I just sat there quietly with the camera while he peeped at me for a bit and eventually, when I didn't do anything threatening, he gave up on peeping and started to sing!

Sounds a bit like a laser gun, but it's a beautiful bird!

I have a video for a DIY CTW wallet that I hot not realizing that the birds were chirping away pretty loudly in the background. I'll probably release it with apologies since I really don't want to redo the soundtrack.
