For me, I liked the touch of the DVD's but the 3d glasses and artwork just seemed superfluous to me.

I recived my copy here in Sweden last week and have start to go trough it.
This is a massive and not to easy reading.
You have to re-think everything you know about card magic.
Mr Kaufman suggest you should watch disc 2 of the three dvd's before reading the book.
My summer is saved thanks to to Mr Berglas.

Mine came today and I'm impressed with everything so far, from the production values of the book, down to the personalised book plate from Mr Berglas (a free optional extra you can order).

For people who rip off the shrink wrap and go straight to the chapter on 'The Berglas Effect', there's a little message which made me smile. Smile

I've loved Kaufman's books and this is an exceptionally valued addition to my collection. And the old fashioned 3D is fun too!

I have just finished reading this massive book. Phew!! Yes, The Berglas Effect IS in this book, and more.

Berglas has an approach that we can all learn from. I don't think my magic will ever be the same again. I don't think that we can all be, or need to be, a David Berglas but there is so much other great information that we can learn and take away from his approach to magic method and performance.

Don't buy this book for the Berglas Effect - buy it for the Berglas approach.

I really like his push fan where he can display the indexes of all cards in one fan but it is a real challenge for me. Does anyone have any extra tips on trying to learn this?

Seems the book (second edition) is now available for pre-order again from Genni Site.

However I've just ordered a Signed First Edition Copy direct from David Berglas himself
for just £120 (post free in UK - extra for airmail at cost as I found)

I saw this on this weekends Magicweek News Page..

If you look at http://www.magicweek.co.uk in this Saturday 21st March Edition
David Berglas himself has a news item and a link to his webpage where
you can purchase one of the last few remaining SIGNED FIRST EDITION's
of the original book for just £120 (that includes Free Postage in UK)

Why wait for the second edition when you can have a Signed First Edition
direct from David Berglas himself?

The order details are here - http://www.magicweek.co.uk/backissues_05......ects.htm

Can't wait to read the book and watch the DVD's....
