Here is an email I recived:

I am writing to let you know about our friend, Magician Bob Elliott. His health is failing and he is living his final moments. Happy asked me to let everyone know what’s happening.

I visited the Elliotts today at their home in Oceanside. Bob is receiving hospice care, comfortable and surrounded by family. He sleeps a lot, but when awake he enjoys listening to music and visiting with loved ones.

It was good to see Bob, even though his circumstances are dire. I got to thank him, once again, on behalf of all of us in magic, and say goodbye. He looked at me with his blue eyes, clear and serene, and whispered “God Bless”.

If you want to reach the Elliotts, call Happy at 760-721-7046, or e-mail her at happy_elliott@cox.net.
You can also call me at 760-703-9661, and I’ll tell you what I know. I’ll post any updates to his condition on my website, http://www.MagicianBobElliott.com.

Best wishes,

Magician Michael E. Johnson

Sorry I missed spelled received.
Bob will be missed so much for many reasons.
But I will miss him for his kindness and his ability to share his knowledge.

Thanks Michael, Bob is a great guy, and Happy a great lady. I did speak to him a couple of years ago, but will call tomorrow.

I called and spoke to Happy this morning. She tried to put Bob on the phone, but it didn't work out. Hey, some of you NY guys
that know Bob should give her a call. Something like this is way worse on the spouse. Bob helped so many "new" guys.

I was just informed it is now just a matter of days. His family is with him, and have said their goodbyes. Bobbie is the best. Tom is right too, Happy is always appreciative when his friends call, she is a good friend too, to so many of us, let her know that.

I am very Sad to say that Bob passed away early this morning 12/7/10. He will be greatly missed, but his magical legacy will live on in many of us for a long time to come. Bob gave so much to so many. Our prayers and condolence are with Happy and his family always.

I am proud to say Bob was a friend and mentor. We did some corporate gigs together as well. He helped my son with his skills.
He taught me a lot. He was one of my sponsors to join the IBM. He introduced me to many magicians over the past 21 years.
I could go on and on. When Bob still lived on Long Island, we would see each other at least 10 times a month and sometimes more.

IBM Ring 352, the Bob Elliott Ring, will have a Broken Wand Ceremony at our next meeting on January 13. We all owe him so much. He will be sorely missed.

Dear friends and fellow magicians,
The date and location of the Bob Elliott Broken Wand Ceremony has been changed to January 13, 2011 and will be held at the L. I. J. Parker building., 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
A larger room was needed because members of all magic clubs on Long Island, New York City and bordering states plus his close non-magician friends are being invited.
Happy Elliott will also be coming from Cal. All are welcome for this memorial. Bob was known and loved by many.
All this has all been organized by Bill White and Ring 244.
