John, we both like chess. We both have daughters (right..?).
Do you like opera, by chance?
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Guess they forgot to tell Bill Buckley. "...as we reason and love, we are able to hope. And hope enables us to resist those things that would enslave us." |

Maybe I'm out of the loop but... chess aided by computers??? What's next, arm wrestling aided by bionics?

Thanks Magnus.
I think Kasparov would rapidly fall out of love with "Advanced" chess the instant some spotty faced kid with a souped-up pc and the latest Rybka beat him in a game. I'm interested in people matches. Kramnik and Anand played a very boring computer assisted match once, 7 draws, 1 win (K). I find Kasparov a fascinating chessplayer - the "monster with 1000 eyes that sees all" as Miles said, and that game against Topalov will live as long as chess does. But as much as I like him, all that chess/business/strategic planning stuff sends me right off to sleep. Still, can't blame a man for trying to sell a few books and make a living.
