Hi friends,
I remember there was a method by switching newspaper or magazine clippings to dollars. 4-5 sheets perhaps more, anyway this was accomplished by a sort of a (Z) fold of these. One of the bills was glued to one paper clipping. Anyone know were to find this effect? Is it still available today? Thanks Don. |

Pat Page's EASY MONEY. Get it at http://www.stevensmagic.com I still think it is as good a method as is needed. It was used by Fred Kaps.

Actually, Suds Magic a defunct company use to make and sell the Fred Kaps Papers to Bills many years ago. If you lived in the late 1970's or early 1980's then this may be the version you are speaking of in your post. If you are not old enough, then the version you are mentioning was only provided in Fred Kaps Lecture notes.
http://www.magicinc.net/kapslecturebook.aspx Pat Page's Easy Money has been available through Magic inc for years. His version was not the Z fold, and the handling is different from Fred Kaps. Why they say the Fred Kaps version is Pat Page's I do not know. http://www.magicinc.net/easymoney.aspx John Lovick has put together an excellent DVD for the Pat Page version, actually teaching it better then the late Pat Page video from years ago. http://www.funinc.com/xcart/product.php?......0&page=4 |

You can find Patrick Page's and Fred Kaps' E-Z Money on Michael Ammar's "Easy to Master Money Miracles" volume 3. There are also a number of other money effects on this DVD.

Fred Kaps and Pat Pages paper to bills effect are totally different in construction and handling. They are not one and the same trick. The only similarity is the paper changes to bills, from the spectator view the same thing happens but in a different way.

I disagree. Pat Page's trick was what Kaps used. The only difference in the Kaps handling was a half-inch overlap in the ends so you didn't have to "find" the place to grip. I wrote Kaps' lecture notes and they've been ripped off so many times it is ludicrous.
What has happened thieves have made up variants and named them "Kaps'" and this may have led to some confusion. I have purchased some of them and they are junk.
