Hi. I was digging through my magic stuff and found the very first "real" magic trick I ever purchased, "Abbott's Cups and Balls" from the late 70's (Spun aluminum cups with sponge balls). Unfortunately, I'm missing the original routine.
Anyone know where I can find it? |

I think it might have fallen behind the bookshelf.

You obviously specialize in COMEDY magic... VERY clever. Thanks.

I don't know what routine Abbott's was including with the cups and balls they sold during the 1970's or who made those cups. I can probably send you a routine that will work with them. I would need an e-mail address, though.
Just for reference, I would appreciate it if you could send a photo of them to me at curator@cupsandballsmuseum.com .

I doubt it. That would have been about 40 years ago. I don't think anyone there at present would remember what was or wasn't being offered.

Some of Abbott's cups were made by P&L.

They were some kind of thick, soft aluminum. Just didn't feel right and were too big. When Danny Dew gave me one set each of all the different Paul Fox cups I WAS SPOILED FOREVER!

AND... the original Abbott's catalog ad (pathetic that I still have that thing...) I think I paid $20 for the set in 1976:

Thanks for the photo. It matches some cups that I was trying to identify. I sent you some instructions.
