If you have the DVD and want to make your own deck you can do so with a regular Stripper deck and a slightly different handling.

Magic Man, I also think you should practice on the strip out for a few hours for a few days. Then, I believe you will have it and once you do, it is fantastic.
I had to play around with it for three hours but got it down enough for it to work. Like most things in life, you really got to put time/practice into it and then, big rewards. Honestly, how long have you tried to get the stripping out working for you? |

Hello Dano,
I do a Charlier Shuffle which looks to the specs like the deck is REALLY getting mixed. For this effect I like to play it safe and still have a KILLER card trick. |

It includes some clever touches and convincers that weren't in the original instructions. Hope Mr. Evans keeps making these. Guess you could make them yourself if you were patient, but doubt they would turn out as well as the professionally manufactured version. After working with the deck for awhile, I found two "hidden" features that make the effect more surefire when you're under fire. It's interesting that Mr. Evans had the foresight to include them, but didn't mention them in the instructions. Although this requires some dedicated practice and maintenance, the payoff is a very special effect that looks like a "special effect." It takes every gambling demo and triumph routine to its logical conclusion, demonstrating full control over every card in a deck shuffled by a spectator. It includes multiple climaxes that increase in apparent impossibility. All with no visible fishy business or excess handling. And at the end, the specs can pick up and examine any card they wish - there's nothing to see. Definitely on my top ten list for best card tricks of all time.

Reset is horrible if I recall correctly which makes practice a pain in the ass. And you will need a lot of practice as your handling has to be VERY precise.
Don't think the trick is worth the effort, I sold mine. |

You're right about the reset, and the need for precision during the main move. Some folks have suggested using a false shuffle to get around that part. If you do it as written and are off by even a little bit, the entire effect goes south. You can do a touch check before going into the cutting, but if you detect a problem, it's pretty impossible to correct without going overt.
I have made an "overt" correction a couple of times after counting through the ten piles, and still got good reactions during the final phases. You can just say you were off by a little bit. As long as it's only a couple of cards, it doesn't destroy the illusion that you're performing an amazing feat of card control in real time - although it does make it clear that it's not "magic." Anyway, I can't imagine that there's a better way to do this effect as cleanly, and it really is an astounding effect.

The effect is so amazing and powerful. I saw Henry performed the effect in his Penguin Live lecture, and it wowed the audience. Part of why the effect is so strong is the stripping bit after mixing the deck. I have no problem with mine.
Perhaps you can make your own deck from your stripper deck, as someone mentioned above. This is now my top card trick to perform with table. |

I bought this effect from a Chinese online shop and after countless tries with the deck I still was having difficulty to get it right. Then I bought the original and all the moves have become so easy. If you buy the original, you don't regret it.

In case you don't know, you could buy the effect directly from Henry.

I bought my cards direct from Henry and struggled with the cards . Took back to Henry at Blackpool convention and even he couldn't do it with my cards that he sold me . In the end got them custom made elsewhere and they are now perfect . Maybe Henry has improved them now as was 6 years ago but even he when I watched demoing goes for a brand new deck very often . Wonderful effect just cards I found were unreliable IMO

The originals were definitely not well made, I also struggled with the deck and this isn't an effect that you can afford to miss even once. I just settled for a deck s****h from a shuffled deck followed by a couple of zarrows. I've never had a problem with any other deck with similar qualities.
