Hi Everybody,
I was wondering what part Gen. Grant invented. Was it the tail pocket itself or using a tailpocket for a dove vanish?
Just a little curious,
Alex

I think it was the handling of his particular vanish. My sources say Channing Pollock originated the effect and Grant came up with a way of doing it one-handed. Could be wrong though.

Alexo, you are correct. Up until 1954, everyone who performed the tail vanish did it with two hands. In 1954, Gen developed the one handed method and performed it for the first time in May 1955 at Boston's SAM club #9. It was reviewed in the Aug issue of M.U.M. in 1955.
