Long have I yearned for a reprint of the famed Beyond ESP 2 cards, but we are awarded at last with the THIRD version! I have tried to search for anyone talking about it, seems like it flew under the radar? Feel free to correct me.

Is this a straight reprint or has it any bonuses??

I pre-ordered this back in September and it arrived today. I didn't have ESP 2, but the booklet that comes with it explained the improvements: a box for the cards that looks very unassuming and could be "authentic" looking for a spectator, it has 2 full ESP decks one red backed and one black backed, the cards are of better quality than before, it comes with a few DF's and DB's, plus the routines provided are excellent in my opinion, a great place to get started.

I'm really impressed with this purchase for the price. I had been looking for some ESP cards with a nice plain back and I found these, plus they're marked in the most subtle way. highly recommended!

I'm loving these cards, but one thing I'd like to do is age the cards a bit. There's always something "proppy" about ESP cads -- especially shiny new cards like these -- that I never liked. Is the standard way to age cards with coffee and/or tea?

The routines are great (I skimmed the booklet last night) and the cards themselves are fantastic -- including the built-in (genius) secret.

Are these a regular size deck of cards or oversized? I'm looking for something larger than 7"x 5" (minimums)?

These are a standard poker sized card. There is a fantastic product for aging items called Tim Holtz distress ink. I'm not sure how well this would work on these cards though???

Bought these a couple of days ago. First, let me say that I have bought ESP stuff before and have used them sparingly. This set- I WILL use! I REALLY like this set. The cards are super nice and the marking system is unbelievable. I would venture to say that out of all the people (including magicians) that look at these- 99.99999% would NOT notice the system. It's that good. The booklet that comes with it is very nicely made on a good paper stock. The routines in the booklet are pretty good too. I definately would use a few of them.

I think this would be a GREAT buy for either the beginner or seasoned mentalist.

Michael recently sent me a deck of Beyond ESP 3 and I am absolutely chuffed with them. A while back I swore off my Vernet ESP cards, the markings were fairly obvious and they looked like regular playing cards which I'm not a big fan of. Now, since receiving Beyond ESP3 I'm willing to give ESP cards a go again!

The quality is great and I was very impressed with the fact that you receive two decks for that price, plus some extra bits and pieces.

The markings are very clever, and the routines provided are a great read.

I highly recommend these cards.

Are the markings the same as Beyond ESP 2? I had a hard time seeing the marking on the second version.

- What´s the difference between ESP 2 and ESP 3?

- Are the routines the same or all new??

The marking system is exactly the same as are the routines included in the booklet. The difference is very minimal to be honest.

When we sold out of Beyond ESP2 we had asked the U.S.P.C.C for a re-print, however they had lost the artwork, we re-submitted this to them and they informed us that a re-print would have to be done by their Spanish counterpart.

In doing so they could not guarantee an exact match on the card stock and so it would have been wrong of us to market this as the same item. I'm pleased to say that I favor the new card stock over that which was used in the original run.

We were also allowed to make a couple of changes on this run and so we amended the card box as well as adding a different fake card into the mix.

With Beyond ESP3 we also have an update list which you can be added on which allows you to receive free additional routines and ideas as they are submitted to us.

So far I have received three, these will be typed out and e-mailed real soon!

I agree about a hard time seeing the markings on ESP 3. And under anything but ideal light conditions I would not dare try any routines. But the written booklet which came with the deck was excellent. My solution? Take some sharp scissors and cut off corners of the cards in a similar fashion as to the deck's markings. Looks great---works great!

Maybe it's me, but I do not have a hard time distinguishing the markings. I think that if you do, it's not a bad thing, that means the layman will NEVER get it!

I took me quite a while to distinguish the markings. It's really great. But even when you can read the markings it about 2 seconds untili you know which card it is.

You will get quicker the more you use them

Absolutely love these cards Michael, still playing around with them at the moment but I agree that it is far better to look at the card twice than stare at the card. I'm looking forward to receiving the updates.
