You should consider a figure by Albert Alfaros! Albert's work is incredible and on par with Selberg's, IMHO:o)

He does have a figure I'm interested in. I emailed with a couple questions and for a price - haven't heard anything back from him.

I'd give anything to know who made Daniel.

I wrote to Albert Alfara and he did reply.Just wait a little longer as it's the holiday season. Most people will resume work this coming week. I am interested in Chow Tu Wang.(it sounded like smelly king of gamblers in my language).

Actually, I wasn't real worried about it, while I was waiting to hear from him, I bought another used figure which I'm still waiting for. I still like that figure I inquired about, but I wrote for that info before I realized how much figures had skyrocketed in price since the last time I looked a half dozen years ago or so.

No one has been able to identify the maker for you?

No. I bought him at Abbott's auction and flea market several years ago but the guy who sold him to me had no idea who the creator was. He was dressed as a pirate at the time, but I took away his sword and changed his clothes and made him into the boy he is now. On his control stick is written "O'leary" but I have no clue if that is his creator, his ex owner or his former character name!

It really baffles me and I think about it all the time, but I suppose I will never find the answer. And as for Daniel? He's not talking.

More than likely, if there's a name on the headstick, it's the creator, although I suppose someone who owned him previously could have put their name on it like people do with some of their stuff. I've never heard of anyone writing their character's name on the stick, most of the time, it's the creator's name.

It's hard to tell because I can only go by the small avatar picture, but he almost looks familiar like I should know who made him.

Dirk the vent over on Youtube seems to think he may be a Lovik figure after watching my vid ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwKRn3d0Ouc )

But maybe if I could e-mail you a larger photo do you think you might possibly be able to venture a guess?

I looked at the vid and Lovik would be my guess too, it's sort of what I was thinking from your avatar, but again, that was a small pic to go by, so the name on the headstick must have been a former owner.
I would like to see a larger pic, but if it is indeed a Lovik as I believe, the man to send a pic to is Clinton Detweiler. Most of the time that Lovik was making figures, it seems he sold mostly through Maher Studios. Clinton could probably tell you what model he was and the years that model was sold.

I also think he's a Lovik. A photo of the headstick would help in identifying him. Or you could send a photo to Clinton, he'll know for sure.

OK after some problems with the e-mail failing because it was beyond the size limit, I broke it down into smaller chunks, so hopefully it should go through, now.
