I would have thought that the point of advertising that a book of effects could be done without sleight of hand was particularly aimed at those whose sleight of hand is not solid, not done well, and quite evident . . .

I believe that it goes back to the idea that mentalism is for people who can't do sleight of hand. This is, of course, totally insane. Punx's work was flawless. All of his work was so natural that you never suspect that it had happened. The same was true of Borodin. Banacheck is the same way.
It's for LAZY PEOPLE!

I always thought “congruent” meant “the funny weed that cons grow in prison.”

No not a joke... I had a mental block on the word. Why not use Similar or Different so us uneducated slobs can understand.

I can only tell you what my experience has been. I use the fab fruit. The fruit loads are very memorable. I used to use balls, but he fruit, for some reason was more memorable. Years later folks will mention the "lemon and lime trick"...never had that with the balls.
Also the fab fruit is great, saves a trip to the grocery store prior to gigs. Hope that helps some. |

My whole use of the "congruent" / "incongruent" terms came directly from the Ammar dvd- I should have just said same or different, similar or dissimilar, etc., etc..

Absolutely true. It's like being a magician or being an entertainer. They are not mutually exclusive.

The Ken Brooke demo was for Ricky Jay (I was along as well). It had to do with the CHANGE, not the large size of the final loads.

So it seems 3 out of 4 magicians recommend..."con...congree...conjr..." S**T that is totally different as final loads...
