Does anyone know the meaning of the art work on the Bicycle Guardians cards by Theory 11?
I recently purchased a few packs at my local K-Mart, only $3.99, a good deal. The cards handle well. Looks like a lot of work went into the artwork, it must have some meaning to it. Something so detailed can't be random. The backs of the cards and the joker show a man with wings and a shield (an angel?), he is trying to stab a person in the eyes with a long lance. Another person watches from the corner. The card box shows chariots. An angel (dressed in a robe) is driving a chariot being driven by two horses, this chariot is neck and neck with another angel driven, horse propelled, chariot. In back of these two chariots is a third chariot being driven by an angel and propelled by two horses. It's odd that the box art appears nowhere on the actual cards? Is this some sort of religious symbolism? Book of Revelations? Greek-Roman paganism? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here's my take... Could it be that the angel is trying to 'guard' the secrets of magic by attempting to kill an person intent on exposing a secret? Then the angels travel on in their chariots to search for and destroy the next magic exposer? |

That... or it means absolutely nothing but the USPCC trying to appeal to young demographics who like the "evil" look in their cards
