(In no particular order):
1. Publish my e-book on Chink-a-Chink (it's all done; I don't know what I'm waiting on!). 2. Get around to actually reading the scores of magic books that I bought this year but have barely opened. 3. Update the inventory of my magic - prepare a proper, detailed catalogue. 4. Continue to add to my C&B collection but with a more specialized focus on late 19th century/early 20th century tin and brass cups. 5. Explore new C&B routines. 6. Ditto coins. 7.Continue to hone my own two-cup routine that I've been experimenting with off and on for the last year or so. 8. Practice..practice...practice (some of those sleights are really a handful!) Anyway, those are mine. What are yours? Happy New Year! Fortasse |

Great List! You'll have a fun and productive year.
--Getting my book published last Oct was a highpoint of my year. Do it. --Seriously consider re-naming your "Chink-a-Chink" routine, it's no longer the 1940's. --I also sorted and even better, prioritized my magic (type and skill level) it's helped! --Palmer gets sad when anyone limits their C&B collecting, he needs company. There are so many "non PC" responses that I am tempted to make that I shall refrain from doing so!
How about "Four three-dimensional object matrix" -- I resolve to finish working out and learning the three cup routine I have been working on for several years.

Walt :
You're absolutely right. I should have mentioned that the tile is actually : "Congregation : The Magic Trick Historically Known as Chink-a-Chink" (No joke!). But then if I had mentioned in my list that I was getting ready to publish a monograph on Congregation, there would would have been a collective "Huh?" In any case, pardon my lack of PC - no offense intended. Fortasse |

Fortasse, Happy New Year to you
I like your list so, I'll use part for my list 1)Getting your book, I have nothing on that subject 2)Reading the magic books I have but actually doing the tricks and cataloging what I like from what I don't like. (I don't do that, and then I waste time reading something I don't like ...) 3)Update my inventory of tricks, separating what I like from what I don't like and selling the latter. 4)Getting Troy Hooser's Destroyers and Guastaferro's One Degree. 5)Performing C&B routine to somebody outside of my family 6)Improving my chop cup routine 7)Perform flawless bedazzled by Peter Duffie 8)Watch Oz Pearlman perform in NYC restaurant. My #1 Resolution is to get my %)&$% Book reviewed in the Big Four magic magazines, so sales will continue to put it into the hands of more traditional magicians who want to take their craft to the level of art.
My #2 is to get more gigs locally, I'm starting to really get bugged with air travel! My #3 is to keep my eating healthy and my weight as stable as this past year. Magically, Walt |

Andrew, I need to lose 20 pounds as well. I wish there really was a way to send them to you.
I'm going to: Reduce my cups to 12. (12 full size sets, 12 mini sets, 12 found sets, 12 chop cups). Reduce my coin sets to 12 as well. (12 in Morgans, 12 in Walking Liberty, 12 in Kennedy, 12 in "other.") Put the finishing touches on some chop cups I made last summer. Read and learn something beneficial from a different magic book each week.

Andrew :
As a matter of interest, why 12? One of each set for each month of the year? Your lucky number? Numerological alignment with the Apostles? Fortasse |

It just so happens that I have 12 sets of the full size and 12 sets of minis I don't want to part with. So, I just used the same number for the other categories. The coins and found cups will be the easiest to pare down.

Hey Guys.
Here's mine: Read E-books I've purchased but haven't read. (Some I've even forgotten I purchased. Embarrassing!) Work on my chop cup routine. Find a better finish for my C&B routine. Perform more for other than my family. Have more fun (not so serious) performing Happy New Years, guys and good lick! Jorey

To buy Pete Biro's cups and apparatus in storage, so I can help him keep his resolution.
Happy New Year.
