Here's mine:
In the year 2011: 1. To organize and script some of the myriad effects that I know into sets of three effects each that are tied together with a logical and an entertaining theme. My present intent is to organize at least four such sets and to practice them until learned and to hone them until they become second nature and can be performed flawlessly and entertainingly "on call". 2. To quit procrastinating and to practice and learn one new (significant/substantial) magic effect a month. In this regard, for the month of January, Richard Sanders' "Fiber Optics" routine has been selected. I've made far too many false starts on this one. This time will be the charm. I have just gotten out my "Fiber Optics-Extended" DVD and a set of Professor's Nightmare ropes and when I leave the Café tonight, I will begin, in earnest, on this journey. (The Jack Bateman/Lance Pierce "Rub-A-Sub-Dub" cups and balls routine is definitely in the mix and may well be the February project.) Stay tuned. Mike P.S. To quote Yoda: “Do or do not... there is no try.”
Magic is a vanishing Art.
This must not be Kansas anymore, Toto. Eschew obfuscation. |
