Dear Community,
I'm looking for informations about the so called "Computer Cards" (cards with punched holes which represent a binary system). Nick Trost published in his booklet series Folios (No. 3) two versions and explains that the basic idea was developed by a mathematic student from Cincinatti. Beside that I own one whole deck (52 cards) working on the same principle. Anyone knows some backround information? Who invented it? Where and when it was sold? Hints where to find advertisement for this effect? Where to find adaptions of the principle? Any hints for books, DVD's or effects which were or are sold using this principle? Hoping for input from this lovely community All the best wishes IlikeMentalism |

I think Tannen's once sold something like this. It consisted of groups of punch cards in 3 different colors. Each card had a number on its end and after 3 participants were chosen the numbers added and the total reveled. A hanging prediction was then opened and they matched. Kind of a add a no. Is this what your talking about?
Just cause they say it, doesn't make it true.

The effect with the three colored computer punch cards was called "Randomental."
There was also a deck of playing cards that had holes punched across one of the short ends. It came with a short metal stick that you would push through the holes to lift out groups of cards according to a binary system. I believe it was put out by Haines House of Cards. Best |

ILikeMentalism, why do you ask a question then not acknowledge the answer? A persons time is valuable.
Just cause they say it, doesn't make it true.
