My guess is that this is someone's experiment. If anyone got hold of one of my boxes they would find a half dozen items that look very interesting, but they are basically abandoned experiements that didn't quite become what I wanted. Maybe a person was experimenting with a way to put magnets under the endcaps. No telling. Unless you can trace the wands owner.

Yea lol. the owner is dead! so I don't think he could tell me. but the wand looks professionaly made so I don't think it could have been made or cut by hand so I'm guessing there are more than one of them in the world. but yes magnets may be missing because another magacain asked me if it was magnetic and that he thinks it may be a gimmick for the cup and balls or ch*p cup. so could you explain more?

Keep in mind, sometimes magicians get professionally made products and then experiment with them. Take them apart, etc. But I may be wrong. Who knows, maybe someone will recognize the manufacturer. But I like the cups and balls idea. That seems most plausable to me. Good luck...

Ok yes it may be professionaly made. but do you have any other ideas apart from magnets on what it could be?

I'll take a guess
The cap looks longer then the dowel so I'm assuming there is some room inside. I'll guess that they hold the chemicals to change water black and back to clear for the Sands Of The Desert. Neither of the chemicals would leave a residue inside. Was there a large glass bowl as part of the collection?

I had an old metal wand. It was a tube of metal with 2 wooden dowels to hold the silver end caps on. It was simply a method of holding the end caps without having to thread the ends of the metal. It's possible the wand is nothing more than a wand.
.
