RS, the burger joints I mentioned don't use a mic or broiler. The burgers are cooked on a grill and that's what makes them different from McDonalds, Burger King and Wendys. The are almost like homemade. There's no need to put the burgers in a mic to heat them up as they go directly from the grill onto the bun with the fixings.
Where the magic begins

Dave I was correcting your post because you said that both cooked them in a Microwave go back and reread your original post. I don't know what Mc Donald's uses the mic for but I do know they refuse to call them microwaves they call them Cuing ovens. Anyway Broiling is at least a bit healthier than using a grill (frying) so B.K. is my go to place in most cases.

What about Carl's Jr.? Flame broiled- and you can watch it. That really did used to be my favorite fast-food place, despite the frequently changing of their french fry recipes... at least until I gave up fast food.

Carl's is good they actually use the exact same broiler that Burger King uses. It's made by Neico.

I worked at Carls Jr. at Oakridge (now Westfield) Mall in South San Jose! Our fries then (I was the fry guy) was this paste that was a mix of hot water and dehydrated potatoes. The present chief of police of Los Gatos also worked there.

MagicSanta- that fry paste was the preferred brand of Carl's Jr fries when I was growing up. Every one of my friends was sad when they switched to the real thing.

I agree, the paste was better... If I go to Carls Jr now I always ask if my discount is still good and they say "when did you have it?" and I tell 'em "1978"
I'll tell you this, for a teen, working fast food was great cuz there were these things called 'teen age girls' there that you got to hang with and they loooooved to party after work! |

Which is closer to wherever I am?

Santa- I worked at Taco Bell for a summer when I was 14. If I'd been 16 or 17, well... it would probably have been way different between me and that girl I worked with...

McDonald's or Burger King Democrats or Republicans Notice the pattern? Heads I win tails you lose.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

The new Bacon Cheese wrap at BK (breakfast menu) is great.
As I said before their new coffee is horrid. Kind of like a Cheese Whoppper plain...nothing but that wonderful hamburger and cheese. So healthy.

No real preference. Depends what food item I am looking for, I guess. I cannot really remember when I ate in either of those two restaurants, though. It must be years.
I suppose I am a little more partial to A&W. Only because they have an egg and sausage breakfast sandwich I like, and there is a location near where I work. So once in a blue moon I have brekky there. I'm more of a traditional, sit down, greasy spoon diner sort of fellow.

I prefer to say I eat wherever my pretention makes me seem I am better than you by saying I eat, but being a fat ass I really eat wherever the food is.
I'm really classy that way. I know I already did this, but I'm doing it again, cause I'm enormous, hence intimidating.

I'm kind of partial to Steak and Shake which I discovered during the brief period I lived in Florida with my late mom.
