Guys,
Can you please have a look at (not my version), but my attempt at a triumph demonstration. I know it's rough around the edges, but I would like some pointers to work on from some guys and girls who know what they are looking for if you have a spare couple of minutes that is!! The link for the video is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYHgX8mIyp8 Also is there a better way (more subtle) of doing the final part of the trick? (1:00 into the Video). Thanks in advance for all your input. Regards, Chris |

Chris -
Not too shabby! Slow down...caress the deck...don't worry about that move, just don't make a move out of it. Cheers!

Hi Chris,
The handling looked solid - well done. I agree with Stanyon, you need to slow down and find a compelling presentation for the effect. You can easily cover the move at 1:00min with a hand gesture while talking (done correctly, this can make the move invisible to your audience). Another tip that I recently picked up from a Denis Behr lecture is to position the face-up Aces in the top portion of the deck. This will allow you to slowly table spread the cards to show that all the face-up cards have righted themselves (first effect). Pause a few beats before continuing the spread to reveal the face-up Aces (second effect). This makes the magic clearer and much easier to comprehend. Hope this helps, Marty |

I agree with all of the above and I would work to reduce the number of shuffles by about 50%.

You should not have used music from Sony.
The have got it blocked in my country. Can't see it. Troels |

All good suggestions! Slow it down a bit and as Gil suggests, maybe eliminate a few shuffles! This is almost identical to one of the routines I do!

Hey Guys,
Cool thanks, Yeah I did go a little shuffle crazy, I think I was just trying to portray the point the deck was shuffled as I was performing to a camera not a person. I have taken note of everything you guys have said, I will slow it down a bit, as after re-watching mine, and watching a few others it does look more natural when slowed down. I like the idea for the finish and the reveal too thanks :-D Appologies about the mucis I did't think it was just on in the background. Thank you all for you suggestions, Regards, Chris |

One other minor suggestion...
When you show the interlaced cards with half the cards face up and half face down, just before you square up the deck, I would minimize how much you show of the bed of cards at the bottom of the spread. |
