Very well stated Lou. There was a discussion on another forum about eating afterward with your host or client. I stated that one needs to be careful. If they can't speak intelligently on subjects other than magic or themselves, then they have nothing to gain. If they just finished a great show, then they have everything to lose.

Your video lays out exactly what social networking is for and how it should be used. A good measuring tool is how many people post on your wall, as it shows you have done a good enough job that they show an interest in you. An even better measurement is how many people like or post even further on another person's comment on your wall, basically creating a thread. Kind of like a micro party principle.

Just be careful not to become a "serial commenter." That is ranked as one of the top ten most annoying things people do on social media. It's a fine balance. Just like a real party.
