Quick heads up to anyone within visiting distance of this exhibition in London:

http://www.museumofeverything.com/

It's open for a couple more weeks, and I'd highly recommend a visit. Lots of great sideshow/fairground/variety content including:
a decent selection of ephemera and some props from 19th and 20th century fairground, circus and variety acts;
an excellent display of American sideshow banners (some Fred Johnson, Snap Wyatt);
lots of items from the Walter Potter museum (anthropomorphic taxidermy, some freak animals);
some excellent 20th century UK fairground pieces (some Carter's);

Lots of these things aren't on permanent display or are from private collections, so it's really worth a look. To be honest, it didn't really work for me as a coherent exhibition, or as a work of art in itself (which is what it claims to be), but the content far outweighs that. See what the BBC have to say here:

I won't be in London but I wish I was because that sounds awesome.
