Hello Matt,
You are going to have to forget about your cards and coins for the most part. Now before anyone jumps down my throat, there are plenty of coin and card effects designed for children. However, moves that require a lot of skill usually don't impress children. Also, most children don't understand that there is only one of each card in a deck. I would say that it is more important to entertain the children than to fool them. The most popular tricks in my show are "The Pizza Oven" and "Peanut Butter and Jelly". Remember that no matter how great an effect is, there will always be one child that "knows" how you did it or has an uncle that does that trick. Good luck with your show. |

Yes, lets get some background on yourself, your style and your character? What age groups do you want to perform for? What information are you most intersted in learning about?

Try ordering a catologue from a few magic shops or search the web sites. Read the effects on the parlor size tricks. Buy the ones that fit your budget and interest you. If you have a question on a particular trick, ask "The Magic Café."
I would recommend: Nesting wands, Sucker sliding die, Square circle and Mouth coils. |
