Is the filter on this viewable from the sides? Is it similar to the filter that came with the Magnum Wallet?

Not sides - only front I believe, opposite side of spectator.

The stealth Assassin in my opinion is more superior as it's an everyday wallet, and can carry far more business cards which is important to me when working out of it. Now, don't get me wrong, the telethought wallet is fantastic and is greatly deceptive if used properly. (such as pulling the business cards out of the window to hand to them) They will not suspect a thing as they see nothing! For me though, I just love the stealth Assassin and I think this is because it's my everyday wallet and has a nice bi**et index along with an suc. It all comes down to what type of show you are performing and what you feel like using at that point in time as they are both great and both have there advantages. If I'm doing a bigger show such as stage and the lighting is good, then I tend to use the telethought but if the lighting isn't that good, then I bring out the Assassin. I would recommend getting both if you can afford to.

Thanks Derren, I have the SAW and have ALone 4D on my list right now. TT 2 does seem like an improvement I think over the first one though.

I have the first one, and had a love/hate relationship with it... however, with the second one (not got one, just going by one of the links posted here, where he flips the wallet open towards her) - it would have been nice if that inner side could have been opened more (maybe kept in place via a magnet)...and let you PW or NW onto a card and have it appear on the outside...

I now own both and like the first one better. I find the more I use the Stealth Assassin, the more deceptive IMO I find it to be as far as reopening to get the p**k goes. I like the first one as the p**k is instant and I actually use it as my everyday wallet in some cases, makes great for impromptu situations. As Iain stated, I can see why there is a bit of a love hate relationship, sometimes lighting can be an issue and the odd angle issue as well (but nothing that's really a big deal) in the end though, it's one of my favourite p**k wallets and I wish that they still continued to make the first one along with the second one.

Anyone wanting the original Telethought Wallet should check with their favorite magic dealer as it’s still available.

I was able to pick up a second hand one in great condition but was unable to find one from the regular dealers I usually buy from.

That surprises me as I think the second one is by far more subtle and offers even more handling options... Jan

I agree 100% with Jan.

The II version is better imo.

I think the selling point for me is getting the instant p**k. I have a nice collection of wallets and most are along the same ideas as telathought II. When wanting an instant p**k, I now use telethought I, when using the other method such as getting out a second card, I use a different wallet for various reasons in which I will not discuss as this is about the telethought wallet. In the end, it's still a great device and has it place.

Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but I set the wallet at the start with a card already in the peek area inside the wallet.

I insert it above the filter; when you first open the wallet, the spectator will see the white card through the window. This is the card I first remove to hand to the spectator to write their thought. As I remove this card, the black window is then seen to be empty.

Might be over-thinking it, but I feel that this sequence at the beginning of using the wallet makes the peek area look more "innocent", and its existence is justified somewhat a little better.

The rest of the routine plays out the same, with you reopening to remove another card from the other pocket to do your reveal. Resetting is a matter of inserting another card above the filter.

Let me know if that wasn't clear.

I don't really feel like it's too suspicious to reopen the wallet for the dirty move. It's not really apparent to anyone, in my opinion. As long as you don't have to instantly repeat the routine, I think it's pretty safe.

Also, I feel if there is a need to repeat the routine again immediately, the reopening is just about as suspicious as just reusing the wallet to hide the business cards when there are other means of concealment (ie: pockets, napkins, hands, etc).

I took the liberty of merging the Telethought gimmick with my F1 Nitro and I am in LOVE with it. Does everything I need in one package!

Is this not the same technology as the 3m filter used in the Panther peek wallet?

I know this post is really old now but I was wonting to know if the Telethought Wallet II could take poker sized playing card rather then a business card. I'm looking at using double blank us playing cards.

Magically
