Hi Guys,
I've been struggling with whether its fair to call TCDC self-working. Its definitely sleight-less, but does involve a bit of handling practice. There are some tricks, mostly Tenyo ones that I can think of, where the magician can take it out of the box, read the instructions, and perform it. Those are clearly self-working. There are some, like the ID for instance, that take a bit of practice. Is that a self-worker? Or is "no-sleight" a better description? Thanks JK

I don't know what TCDC stands for, but as for the ID I would go with the no-slieghts required.

These Cards don't Count, my first professional illusion. I think I'll use that wording then, thanks.

I think ''sleightless'' would be a better description. No effect is really self working, in that they don't work themselves. Any effect, regardless of wether it is sleight heavy or sleightless requires the performer to be effective. Sleightless yes, but certainly not self working.

Yup, I made that point myself in another thread, Jim. There is no such thing as a fool-proof illusion... and I say that as a fool who has managed to muff a few
Thanks!

"Effortless" is a better term IMHO...
