It's a very startling effect to your spectators. You can present it as a spooky or bizarre type of effect. I like to go with the Peter Pan type presentation. I guess it really depends on your performance style, and what kind of reaction you want to evoke within your spectator. Hope this helps.

Thank you Mr Strebler.
that I could look inside the dvd instructions.
Made very mysterious and dramatic.
Like it very much!

But,
I'm not really sure if it's really practical.(With utmost respect and meant no harm!)
I know how I would accomplish it. Without the DVD have seen.
And I do not think I'm alone in this opinion.
But I like the idea and give the DVD a chance!!!

Thank you for the first impression!

OK when are the DVDs in the shops? Smile
I already have the wallet in my hand.

ALL THE BEST FROM GERMANY!!!!
(and sorry for my english!)

Marc, understand what you mean. I think it looks great but I seem to be able to form my own plausible techniques to accomplish this. I still will be picking up the DVD just for Morgans teaching and the bonus effects (PK Touches). The quality and video work of the DVD look great as well though. It doesn't look like it was just thrown together.

Morgan came to me this morning asking me to review his latest effect Shadow. So here is my review.

I first saw a performance by Morgan of the effect Shadow and thought, "This is impossible" When I saw the explanation I thought it was genius! This is as visual as it gets. Morgan goes through all the details you need to maintain audience management and answered all the questions that I had on the video. One thing that I did like in the explanation of Shadow is that Morgan teaches his friend Steve and has Steve perform the effect Shadow for him and goes through the "Do's and Don'ts" of the effect.

Now lets say your not a street guy you're more of a stage guy. The two bonus effects are great for stage. I will be putting these two effects into my show.

All the proceeds of Shadow will go to Morgans mother to help her curve the cost in her battle against cancer.

I give shadow a 10/10

I had a conversation with Morgan this morning as well getting ready for the gym chatting on my phone. Girlfriend didn't feel like taking Pilates so here I am reviewing Morgan Strebler's Shadow.

I do want to take away any bias. I am ( as well as a few others) getting a sneak peak. But I want to assure you that it won't affect my thoughts in my review.

Shadow:

The quality of the video is great. Morgan knows how to explain things clearly and cover the few subtleties you need to know. He brings his friend in to practice this effect and it goes a long way because Morgan catches a few things that make a difference when learning "Shadow". When you watch the few performances of Morgan, it makes for an inspirational moment. Something so simple, creates an amazing effect.

Will you be doing this everywhere you go? No you won't. This is a true masterclass on blocking and timing. It's within the grasp of everybody but I can see a handful of people actually putting in the needed practice to make this miracle work.

I would recommend you do this to a group of about 4-5 people max if you are doing some "street" magic. One on one is perfect.

In my mind, this is the most powerful off-beat effect I have ever seen.

I'm not going to give Shadow an out of 10 rating. All you need to know is that what you are getting is a powerful/organic piece of magic that with practice, could be one of the strongest things you can perform.

Blow:
One of the bonus effects

This one is my style. A pk touch effect where one spectator has their eyes closed and when you blow into the other spectators hand they the other person feels it. I laughed very hard viewing the explanation, which is VERY short. And rightly so. There wasn't much to talk about when he said what he did. I have an idea that popped in my mind to make it more comfortable for me. Great practical thinking.

Stare:
A bold method. With a sugar packet pk type effect. I didn't like this very much. The effect in general is amazing. But how it's done isn't comfortable to me. Takes a very small amount of setup. I'll leave this for other people to think on. Great idea, just a tad scary to pull off.
Another PK effect

BUY this DVD. No question about it. You get a worthwhile effect that is Amazing....but seriously.. Help out Morgan's mom!

Okay Friends, I've just seen the entire Shadow DVD, Morgan let me preview it before it's release. Guess he likes me LOL ANYWAY....

My Review:

Im not blowing smoke up anyone's a** just because Morgan is a friend. But, This dvd is just SICK! I've watched it twice this morning and it is everything it says it is, amazing, practical, the angles are NOT bad at all, totally workable in ANY situation with a few spectators. The reactions are insane. Once you watch it though, it will spawn a PLETHORA of ideas in your own mind, other ways you can use these incredible principals. I'm already having serious brainstorms, SHADOW is more than just a trick. It's an incredible principal. BUY THIS DVD!

ALSO!!! The BONUS effects on the dvd are WORTH the price of the DVD! That is no joke! 'Blow' is going into my main routines TODAY. I'm going to be doing 'Blow' EVERYWHERE! Sugar is just as good, and the secret behind it is NOTHING I saw coming!!! I can't wait to get out there and start using these Gems!

Thank you Morgan for letting me watch this masterpiece.

This DVD is truly Amazing.

Hey Guys,

I haven't been around the magic community much over the last several years. I think I've been jaded by a lot of effects not living up to their promo videos. I personally have an effect that has been sold over the last 5 or so years so I know how hard it is to come up with something unusual and interesting.

Also I have known Morgan for several years and have used Liquid Metal since it came out. It is my signature piece so anything Morgan does, I'm interested in.

As far as the video goes, it's hard to sum up for me. First of all shadow really uses no gimmicks which is interesting and organic (literally). The effect is definitely what you see in the promo. I have a feeling this effect will be one of those things that you either really love or don't care for. The reality is, if you perform it correctly, you should blow people away. I would like to see some street performances of this in the preview but understand why it's not in there.

I will give this a go once I feel really comfortable with it, but don't dismiss it based on the method (which I feel some people will do). Give it practice and see how the reactions are. The idea effect is so out of left field that it deserves to be practiced before it's performed.

As for the bonus effects, they are actually my favorite things on the dvd. No doubt, both of those routines are awesome and I love both. Blow is super cool and the method was something I would have never guessed. I REALLY dug this one and between this and Stare, the DVD really is worth your time and money.

Stare's effect is amazing. Some of you may be scared off by the method (altho really I see NO reason why anyone should) but the fact that you can have a second spectator feel a sugar packet be poured on their hand in REAL TIME as you are actually pouring it on someone else (and their eyes are open) really is something spectacular.

In my opinion, he could have sold this DVD as Stare and Blow and put in the Shadow as a bonus.

Any way you cut it, it's a solid DVD and glad to see Morgan back into the swing of things.

So I thought I should share this experience with you guys to inform you how powerful "Shadow" can be. Last night I decided to go out for a night on the town with some friends and we ended up at a bar. I wasnt planning on doing magic but brought cards with me just in case I get that itch.

I met a girl and ended up doing magic for her and her friends and I always do hard hitting stuff. Throughout the night she wanted to see more and more. Talking to her she informed me that she doesn't think that magic is real. We went outside and smoked with some friends and I performed shadow. At that moment she said, "Now that **** is real!!!" Out of all the things I did that night they got great reactions but the one that got the Knock Out was Shadow. A great way to end the night! I got one amazing reaction and am looking forward to performing this more
