I've floated this around to a few folks I know, but thought I'd put it out there for public consumption and see if anyone has any suggestions.
So, Lydia's Carnival Sideshow in Salem, MA has its third official show this Saturday. At it we have 3 television media outlets attending (one is national, the others local), a radio station and a print outlet. We have an extra body to wrangle the press, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience setting up a media area, dealing with multiple media outlets at a show, how to separate the media from your audience and how to keep the two from getting in each others way. Any help/advice is GREATLY APPRECIATED! --Tony |

YOU decide where the cameras should be. The audience is paying to be entertained by you, not them. Unless one of them is a celeb, treat them like everybody else. If there's a celeb, figure out how to make them part of the show...maybe throw knives at them.

I know it could cost a bit but to hire a PA Liason firm is the only positive way. They know how to manipulate and control the Media and its in their interest to work hard for you.
I hired a top PR firm who took a percentage and the build of work far outwieghed the costings. Also its a Tax deductable item. ie>>>> I had a single 20 minet spot booked for Welsh TV,,, this got expanded to worldwide release and even three years down the line gave us a nice blip on NY1 when we had a flying visit over. Checking this out it seems that the PA hired all those years before had fly pitched us then, they held onto our details and Bobs your Aunty. BTW >>>> Tread Carefully. Ken. |
