I have just bought Brain Food, by David Parr and Sherazade by Boridin, and i thought i would let all of you out there know they are two of the best books i have bought in the last 6 months.
The only thing i negative i could say is the Latter book's stories are quite long but so wonderfully written and it even has safety data sheets in it. |

When I was busy translating the material, I felt the same way about the length of the stories, then I had the opportunity to actually see Borodin perform one of them, live. WOW! In his hands, or perhaps I should say, with his acting skills, the stories were the right length for him. Mind you, I'm not trying to disagree with you at all. I think that most performers would have difficulty holding an audience with the stories, uncut. But that's the nice thing about stories. You can figure out how much of the story you want to use, and then edit out what you don't need. But I would recommend being very careful where you make the cuts. The stories are very carefully constructed for maximum impact. If you can tell a story well, especially a horror story, you will be able to sell this material quite well. It does require an actor, though.

I had recieved Sherazade yesterday & had a few moments to gleam through it, seems to me to be a book that will require a lot of thought & concentration to understand Borodin's thought process and am really looking forward to studying this book. Would be interested in knowing anyone's favorites in this book though.
