CNN by P.Goldstein Nov 1993
Is anybody able to help with this effect please, there appears to be an error in the set-up published in Genii? The problem is it just doesn’t work.

Thank you mantel, there is at least some minor consolation in knowing I am not simply being dumb.

Thanks mantel,
sorry for not responding sooner. I actually emailed MM himself and he kindly took the time to respond, AND with the actual correction rather than just a ref or link.

I am in my first year of my Genii subscription, so I'm still exploring the archive when I can. Does anyone have any references to some good coin work in Genii to check out?

Kainoa Harbottle's Column by means of metal is well worth checking out too.
For searching Genii 1999 & onwards you can use http://genii.somee.com Slightly less intuitively you can use http://askalexander.org but after you search what you are looking for you need to click the magazine you wish to search for using the directory filter. |

I would like anybody's suggestions in the Genni archive for tips/instructions for sleights. I am more interested in sleights than routines at this point.

Non-magical archive question. (I hope it was here, and not in MAGIC) In the book review section, there was a review of a mystery novel in which the "detective" is an elderly Lizzie Borden, living alone and learning to do card tricks to occupy her time. She ends up meeting with a young girl who is suspected of a murder, and Lizzie has to prove her innocent. Anybody remember this? Can you give me the title?

I couldn't find the book mentioned in either Genii or Magic. But it is mentioned in M-U-M and Linking Ring.
The think the title is Miss Lizzie by Walter Satterthwait. |

Thank you. I'm pretty sure I didn't have either M-U-M or Linking Ring, so I can't have read it there. But thanks a lot.
