The invisable deck is the best.
B'wave is good. |

For totally self-working, I've gotta go with Scotch & Soda.
You could be brain dead and still kill with it. |

I like to begin with Brainwave and then Red- Hot Mama as Michael Ammar shows in one of his videos. Before the group can recover I whip out my Quadra-dollar and follow up with Scotch and Soda. It all takes very little time and keeps them off kilter.

Mine have already been mentioned, Lethal Tender or Invisible Deck but Aces In Their Faces is an awesome self-working trick and The Locking Deck isn't bad either. I keep my Locked Deck at my desk at work and perform it on unsuspecting visitors now and then.

GlenD, Aces in their faces is the first effect I bought, and I still think it is a stunner, but I have to say the one self working effect I like to do is Brainwave. I use it the most often.

Almost self working. Some of you said Bro John's Gemini twins, I like the effect but it is not self-working. Overkill, is nice and self-working.
Okay , when we talk about (almost) self-working, read the books "Semi-Automatic Card Tricks - Volumes 1-4 " by Steve Beam. Unlike many self-working card tricks, these do not appear to be self-working for your audience. |

I don't think there are really any true self-working tricks. If there were, they wouldn't need us, the entertainers.
Vernon said if a trick was said to be easy or could be learned in a few minutes, he'd pass.

I notice several people mention Robbers and Sheep. I've seen this in the past, but can't for the life of me find it again. Can anybody help me by supplying a reference? Thanks

Thieves and Sheep is located in Bobos. It's a trick where coins travel from one hand to the other using the patter of thieves stealing sheep. This is one of the first coin tricks I learned and has a good story with it although I would'nt consider it self working.

Thanks BG. I'll look it up in Bobo's. I also found a clever working in Michael Close's Workers (#4) called Cu/Ag/C12H22O11.
