Hi. I'm a retired Welshman living in exile in England. My first magic show was at the age of 10, some 60 years ago, and my centrepiece then was the egg bag trick. I performed regularly during my teens, but since then only for family. I now perform only for my grandchildren. As a result, I tend to spend more time than money on this hobby of mine. So, just 6 shows a year, but with almost completely different material for each performance. In between shows, I like 'magic' to just sort of 'happen' around me - mainly appearances, disappearances, floating objects type things. Looking forward to spending lots of time around here.

Welcome! Grandchildren make good audiences. The magic you share with them now will forever be in their memories of you and their childhood.
Cheers wk
Nothing is truer than the incomprehensible, because the sum total of our knowledge consists of the fact that we know nothing. Our reality is an illusion. Thus illusion is reality-Punx

Welcome twm.
You deserve a lot of credit for coming up with that much new material. That's amazing in itself. Your character sounds fun too. wkitwizard is right about your Grand-Kid's happy memories of You and Magic. -Mary Mowder |

My next 'party boy' wants to be a helper, so he will be my apprentice, and I'm planning to have a few tricks work for him and fail for me. So a simple cut and restored rope, where his is restored, and mine still has a knot in the middle, that sort of thing. Once I have the theme, the rest falls into place quite quickly. But I'm hoping to include a quick change - start with a drab shirt, and change it to a brightly coloured silk shirt. So will go wandering around here to see if I can get some ideas on the best way to handle that. Twm Twm |
