Other than textbooks, rereading "Strongman; The Doug Hepburn Story" by Tom Thurston.
When my inter-library loan comes in I'll be reading Steve Jeck's "Of Stones and Strength."

Cool book, Mick. I love Connelly. Ditto Wagner's book. Great stuff.

My wife is really into audio books, but I've always preferred regular books. I am trying my first audio book now...
The Prestige. It's pretty good so far. The narrator is quite good, and the book has a whole beginning (and end I think) that are omitted from the movie adaptation. I don't think I'll get quite as hooked as my wife, but you never know. |

Just started reading "Is God A Moral Monster" by Paul Copan. Also going through it with the small group of high school guys, which includes my son, that I meet with weekly. Then there is all the aersospace quality, risk assesment, and program management material that I need to become much more familiar and keep up with (including a seminar this Friday). I remember with great fondness those earlier years when I had much more time to immerse myself in the writings of so many authors, fiction and non-fiction.

I LOVE audio books. They often don't work for me nowdays because of my kids, but I love listening to a book while I'm cleaning, walking the dog or driving.

Got a Kindle for Christmas and loaded it with 100 Best Detective Novels for $3.99; been enjoying it immensely. Before that it was Christmas at the Mysterious Bookshop.

I think I forgot to mention in my previous post that I also recently finished reading all of the "John Corey" books by Nelson DeMille. The character John Corey is a smart-alecky and cocky New York homicide detective who eventually joins up with the (fictional) FBI Anti-Terrorist Task Force (ATTF) in New York. The novels are not great literature, but they are amusing and entertaining. I imagine many people here would like them.
I mean to start 'Lives of a Showman' soon.
