Instructions for the construction of the ringbox (plus the routine) can be found in The Books of Wonder volume 1.
Both volumes are amazing.
Just the essays on magic theory are worth reading once a year.

The engineering behind the props is Unbelievable even that little ring box is a work of art.

Yes, Tommy Wonder was a mechanical genius.
His method for the nest of boxes is diabolical.
He was a mind blowing talent.

Yes I agree, his theories are great. They really opened up my eyes--using fancy flourishes will scream sleight of hand and not magic

I basically developed the Wizard's Wallet (described in The Wizards' Journal #20) for those times I wanted to do Tommy Wonder's card routine but had not brought along the ring box for the ending. I always carried a wallet, but didn't always go out packing the ring box ready for magic. In many ways the wallet packs a double wallop because when I added Steve Dusheck's Dollar Punch routine, or if I forgot to carry a paper punch if I did just Steve's Pad-I-Add trix which is built into the Wizard's Wallet, the audience saw a folded card inside the wallet throughout the routine. Later on, when this same folded card turns out to be the signed card freely selected from a deck AFTER running through the entire ambitious card bits, their astonishment is punctuated by profanities and quaint sayings I cannot reveal here. But it all starts with Tommy's set-up and the concept that accepts magic as an inevitable part of your life.

Another popular ending amongst the Café is to use Jay Sankey's Paperclipped instead of the ringbox. It is not as nice aesthetically, but Paperclipped get's the job done and packs small.

Qua-Fiki (our "official" demonstrator) may be able to find time to video the "Wizard's Wallet" right after he finishes the video demo of his Color Sponge Ball routine ("One Fish, Two Fish" also from The Wizards' Journal #20), the video demo of the "Visible See-Through Nesting Boxes," and the video demo of the "ABC Blocks Production Boxes." This is all supposed to take place during Spring Break from high school which is the only time he has free. In other words, it will happen, but don't hold your breath waiting.
