I Just saw Puck perform "Shoe Business" the Comedy Drink in the Shoe trick. Its a new routine that reminds me of the vanishing Banana but with a lot more gags, and a more magicial ending to the trick. The premiss of the trick is your going to play a new comedy pranks app on your phone and you will learn the prank with the audience. The prank has you barrow a mans shoe and you pour a bottle of soda in his shoe, the guy looks mad so you do a little magic and able remove the liquid from the shoe. Puck told me it would be for sale real soon so check it out.

Yes, Shoe Business will be coming out on April 1ST ( April Fools Day ). Scott Alexander and myself were tired of the old Vanishing Bandanna trick and decided to create a modern version that didn't require any fruit. What we came up with was almost a complete departure from the original that has a ton of laughs built right in and a very strong magical ending. You call the "Practical Joke Hotline" on speaker phone to teach the audience a funny gag. You make a mistake following the instructions and inadvertently fill a spectators shoe with a bottle of liquid. This six minutes of comedy is virtually self working ( as all you do is follow the audio instructions like the bandanna ) and has a surprise magical finish that really fools the audience. Scott and I have been performing "Shoe Business" on the ships for sometime now and it never ceases to generate big laughs while still getting great reactions to the magic!

Hi Puck,
I'm really interested in this!
Does it come with the detailed script?
Cause I live in Taiwan that we speak in Chinese, I cannot use the English speaking instruction.
If you have a script included, I can follow the script and record it myself in Chinese.
Is it possible?
Thanks.

Puck, looking forward to this release. Will it be going to dealers, available through you or both?

Thanks!

So pretty soon the cruise directors will say, "If I see one more magician perform that drink in the shoe routine..." Ah, well. What are you going to do.

Haven't figured out the pun yet, with the drink in the shoe, but it has to be better than the Shellfoam attempt at updating the bandana routine (which was a valid effort, but too much of a stretch). Maybe this one will play better for kids, too, many of whom seem to have no idea what a "bandana" is.
Now appearing nightly in my basement.

Agree with every single thing you said.

I'm excited for this. I didn't know that Scott was involved in this. Now I'm very interested!

Thanks Michael!
I've been sitting on this idea for a while until my buddy Puck twisted my arm to "get off the fence," and put it out. He also helped me punch it up with some great lines and bits which has turned it into a great piece I really enjoy performing. We've shown it to some friends including Denny Haney, Justin Kredible, Chris Kenner, John Cassidy, Bob Kohler and they've all agreed it's a cool idea and very funny. One even said it's TOO good to let it out! LOL
But, the ball is already rolling, and we do hope to get to out there next month. Just working out the details.

Thanks In Motion for your support. To answer your question initially we will be offering "Shoe Business" direct from Scott and myself through our web sites. After we get rolling our objective is to allow the dealers to carry it as well. We haven't decided on when and who will carry it but we are very excited to finally be releasing this very funny routine to the magic community. Seven days and counting!!!

I got a sneak peak at "Shoe Business" and can't wait to perform it, It's brilliant!
It is a modern day version of the "Vanishing Bandana" and I feel improves it tremendously.
I wish I had thought of it myself but then if I had thought of it myself you would never see it because I would keep it for myself Smile
It's that good! Thanks Scott & Puck!

Just did this on Royal Caribbean last week. The cruise director said how refreshing it was to see this routine! He watched the second show just to see it again.
