Has anyone read this book by Ronn Lucas;
"Better Living Through Ventriloquism"
I just spotted it today. I can tell it's not a serious book on ventriloquism, looked like it might be a fun read, but I couldn't really find any reviews.

I read it and discarded it a few years ago.

I purchased the book and read parts of it.

The book gives the reader advice on methods of picking up women in bars and impressing her by using Ventriloquism and talking without moving his lips in place of having an enjoyable conversation.

Improving my life by going to a bar?

Going to a bar to impress a woman as a Ventriloquist,

The book goes downhill from then on

Earlier I looked in this thread, and Howie's post appeared twice, and I posted "we heard you the first time".
Now I look, and Howie's duplicate post is gone, and so is my post.

I reported my double post; I would think your post referring to my post was deleted when they looked at your post as they deleted my post.

So I came here to further post on the book “Better Living Through Ventriloquism” and got distracted with answering a question concerning strange posts; I now continue with a typical post

I am sitting here with the book in front of me.

The book includes chapters on Interesting subjects like:

How Ventriloquism can save you on Death Row.

How Ventriloquism can save your life in a natural disaster.

How Ventriloquism can help you buy a car.

How Ventriloquism can help you get a job

How Ventriloquism can help with a drug intervention

The book would be useful to you if you were a Ventriloquist, who does not move his lips, with a drug habit, looking for a job, during a natural disaster; but wants a car to drive to an Interview and kills someone while driving to a drug dealer to pick up drugs for your friend and winds up on death row

If none of the above subjects are part of your life, In My Humble Opinion I think the book would not be of interest to you.

AND...

The book is riddled with “Ron Lucas Fun Facts” which are not funny or factual.

Anyone want to buy a used book?

Life is funny...ya never know...maybe it is best to be prepared

Sounds like it was an attempt at a humor book.
