Does anyone know if any magic store sells good quality copper plated half dollars?
I am looking for a copper plated half that would match the color of an English penny. I have the "Foreign Exchange" set (same coins as "Coin Alchemy") and the "copper" half doesn't match the EP. It looks green, more like it was painted vs. copper plated. I would like to substitue it for a more natural looking copper half.

Thanks, Joe. Do you know if it would be a close match to the copper color of an EP?
At least it says copper plated. I'v found other sites that say copper colored.

Sry, Kelvin I've never purchased anything from them. So, I wouldn't know. Here's an idea. You could ask them to copper plate both your Kennedy half and your EP so both would match. I'm not sure because of the difference in metals the plating would turn out off color or not. But they should be able to tell you.

Mimesis magic has copper kennedy and silver pennys. Look like they are out of stock, but send a note and check with them.
I bought several things in the past from Mimesis and the service was good.

I have one from Mmesis and while nice, it doesn't look like an English penny type copper.

Thanks for the feedback, advice, and the links. I wonder if copper plating over copper/nickel clad will ever look like copper - as in a penny. Maybe my half is copper plated and that is just how they look. I know copper turns green over time. I haven't tried cleaning it. U.S. copper pennies and the English pennies don't turn green. Maybe it is the difference in plating vs. solid metal?
