I know a lot of us over the years have posted asking about business cards and calling cards and what to place on them and what to keep off and ideas for them. I know even more have asked for folks to post their card ot to send them their business card for their collection.
I thought it might be fun to create a thread where we can simple share are business card designs for the magic and shows we put on. This way we could get to know each other better but could also have one very cool and large area where anyone could go to get inspired by others. With this in mind. I am going to post my card as well as a few others. I would love it if you would post your card for others to see. Remember to post your card is quite easy. simply keep the card photo image at 500 pixels width by no more then 300 pixels in height. Make sure it is also in RGB format and also in 72DPI. The file size should be no greater then 75kb. Most photo editing programs will handle this well for you. if this does not work for you, you can 1) post your card via a link or 2) send me your photo image and I will resize it and send it back to you for posting. It would be my pleasure. Click here to view attached image.

LOVE the graphic for a mentalist. VERY well thought out...and it matches your website, which is perfect branding!

Here is a tester.
I'm fairly happy with the design. I have a white back with a "tac-tac-toe" board on it, for mini numerology readings. Click here to view attached image. |

Reuben-- are you showing us the card your happy with or asking for advice?
If asking for advice may I offer a few things. 1 see no reason to have the words "web page” its 2011 and everyone and their mother knows that www. means it’s a website This will help clean the card up some by removing the words web page, in most of my advertisements I don’t even include the www. any more I just print samsandler.com as I said every one knows it’s a website. 2. I am really not liking the lay out of the white blocks with the purple I feel it would look much better if you go with your purple theme but cut it slightly so that it matches the bottom L shaped color and then use White text on the purple instead of the putting the white block in there and using black text. It will make the card much smoother. I only had 5 minutes but I have attached an option for you Click here to view attached image.

The 'blocking' of text stops the card from flowing, it's very dis-jointed. Use a more original font. The font is too common, it looks like you did this on MS Word and printed it out on your home printer. Harsh words perhaps but I've been there. Not sure what you are trying to achieve with the 'picture in picture' thing, it doesn't relate to anything that you do listed on the card. Derek |
